"BOO!" to you.....Cuttin' Up with Class Challenge #4, and a quick tutorial

Hi, everyone!
It's Tuesday, which means another new svg cutting challenge over at Cuttin' Up With Class! I sure hope you'll join us for a chance to win some free svg's from Jani, of Paper Compulsions!
Please bear with me today, as this is a lengthy post to share the details of the challenge blog, a few photos, and a quick tutorial on how I made the cute Frankie tag! :0)

For those of you that aren't familiar, the Cuttin' Up with Class blog is designed for crafters that want to participate in regularly scheduled challenges that are geared toward SVG files. Challenges will be on Tuesday, each week.  A free SVG cut file is provided for  you to use on a project of your choice.  It can be combined with any other challenge. The SVG cut does not have to be the focal point, as long as it is included on your project. You are free to use it along with other SVG's from individuals or other companies. Visit the Challenge Blog for your FREE SVG!
I am so happy to be on the Design Team for this site, and it's a great bunch of ladies.....and LOADED with talent and different styles for your inspiration. Be sure to check out my fellow team members for some great eye candy and inspiration! Their blogs are all linked in my side bar for you.
Don't forget to pick up the freebie so you can join in to win additional free SVG's and other goodies! :0)
Today's FREE SVG is a great project for Halloween! I'm a little biased about this one being "great", as it was my idea this time....lol! Jani put all the files together for cutting, though, and they're all perfect for making this project FUN! :0)
So...."what is it?", you ask....
It's a Boo Bucket Project........so cool! (Make sure you check the CUWC site for all the details on this, and to download the free svg cutting files! It includes everything you need to "trick" your friends and neighbors this Halloween!)

Here's a photo of the entire door hanger

And another view of the bucket

I started this project by making the door hangers, first. I used some papers from K&Company, and AC Card Stock for everything. The "Boo to You!" text is from Jani. It is a two-layer file, but I added a third shadow layer to it in SCAL. The witch hat's in the photos are all from the Spellbinders set called Witches Brew. I added some gold gel pen to the band of the hat, and cut a small piece of yellow card stock to adhere to the back of the "buckle" hole it punches. I added my poem, some ribbon and a couple of glittery ghost buttons (an awesome find at JoAnns!) to finish these hangers off.
I used the same papers, card stock and embellishes on the bucket, but added a Martha Stewart "Drippy Goo" punched edge around the top, which is adorned with some purple Stickles. The bucket handle has some orange Ric-Rac ribbon adhered to it, and the Frankie Tag is attached with some finers from my stash.  Now......how did I make Frankie?? Super easy!
Materials List

EK Success Medium Tag Punch
Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch
Peachy Keen Stamps Monster Faces Assortment
1/4" hole punch
Ribbon

Directions:
1. Punch a tag with a green card stock
2. Punch a tag with some black card stock.
3. Cut the black tag in half
4. Use the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch on the now-cut black tag to create his "hair"
5. Adhere the "hair" to the green tag
6. Punch 1/4" hole for the ribbon
7. Stamp (or draw) a face
8. Attach your ribbon through the hole
DONE! :0)

See that?! Easy-peasy, right?!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to see your project on the challenge site!
Oh....sorry about my not-so-hot pics this time.....I think my battery in my camera is dying! DOH!
Happy Crafting!

  2. These are adorable and a lot of extra extra work, but what fun! I saw them yesterday morning but was rushing off to work and not having time to leave comment. The blogspot was acting stupid yesterday and I couldn't even get your post up!
