Bugaboo "Layers" Challenge Card

Hi, everyone!
I am trying, desperately, to finish up some printed, half-done cards that are on my work desk this week! You see, I have started working out, daily, with some friends. We're on day three, and doing well together! I'm so excited that we're sticking to things, so far. :0) It definitely takes away from my crafting time, but it's a must-do for me, and way past time I committed!! lol!!!
Anyhow, I had been working on this wonderful little image that Jodie, from Bugaboo Stamps, has given away. I just love her "SceneIt" images!! You saw me work on a ladybug one last week, and now this is the Easter image on my card.
The "Catch the Bug Challenge Blog" is having a "Layers" challenge this week, and this is my entry. The challenge requires that each entry has four or more layers - I have  five layers on this card! :0) It was tough cutting all the image layers out, but it was worth it, I think. Plus, I used a new Nestie! I loooove my Nesties! :0) The image frame is cut with the Lattice Rectangle Nestie. I colored my image in PSE. The lattice and the blue bg papers are from a DCWV mat stack called Citrus. I didn't add any ribbon, or other embellishes to this because I didn't want to take away from the layered image. What do you think about that? Should I have?? I'd love to read your comments on the subject!
Happy Crafting, everyone!

  1. I love it, but were we suppose to cut the images out to make the layers? I have 4 different layers of background paper, nesties cuts and frames. uh oh if I'm wrong. Ps Finished day 2 at the gym and haven't stroked out yet!

  5. Super cute. I grabbed this freebie too, but haven't had time to color it yet. (Your's makes me want to go do that right now.) I'm new to digis and stamping in general, so forgive my ignorance, but what is PSE?

  12. Gorgeous card. I think you were right not to add any more embellishments - it would have distracted from your gorgeous image.

Thanks for joining in with our 'Spring Has Sprung' Challenge this week over at Top Tip Tuesday :)
