For My Gardening Friend

Hi, everyone!
I know that a large part of the country is dealing with some serious winter weather right now, but I have a friend that is an absolute master at gardening (and literally a Master Gardener), and I needed to make a thank you card for her. She is my sewing go-to girl. I am a horrible seamstress, and she is a whiz! I had asked her to make a bench cover for me out of some fabric I had left over from a previous project she worked on for me. She not only made it, but sent it to me free of charge as a gift! :0) Isn't that the sweetest thing?!
Anyhow, on to my card.....

Garden Bench SVG, A2 card size

This was created from and svg file I created. The file contains a lot of small pieces, and took some patience to assemble, but I am very happy with it!
The background piece is a Marianne Die, the rest is cut pieces from the file. I actually had used only a cream colored card stock for cutting everything out (except the boots), then colored it all with inks, sponges, markers.
That's it from me today, folks! I hope everyone is staying warm, and safe from all the nasty little viruses that seem to be running rampant right now!
Happy Crafting!

  1. What a fabulous card! Your friend is sure to love it!

  2. Super cute! I know your friend will love it. Happy Sunday my friend.

  3. I left a comment and think I lost it. I think this is a work of art more than just a card. A lot of love and patience went into this. She'll soooo love it.

  4. Thanks for joining in with The Daring Cardmakers' "Setting the Scene" challenge this week - your card is perfect for this week's dare and it would be a shame to miss out on the chance of winning our DoCrafts prize - you just need to add their link to be in with a chance of winning!

  5. Wow, that looks like you spend a lot of time at your crafting table ... and it was worth it! What a cute scene and perfect for your master gardener friend =). Thanks for taking part at the Daring Cardmakers challenge.

  6. You must have had a "I have lots of patience" Day. This is just awesome. All the gardners here in the NW are chomping to get things growing-this card would certainly cheer them on-a work to treasure for sure!

  7. What a wonderful card! It must have taken a very long time to do! Love the sweet scene you created with all the pieces--nice coloring & love the doily. Thank you for sharing this with us at TTCRD. Hope to see you again next week! :^)
    Hugs, Penny
