Sympathy for a Friend

Good morning, everyone!
I am so happy it is Friday, and even more happy that the sun is out! Woohoo! It is a bit nippy, but the sky is blue and the sun is shining bright.......I'll take it! :0)
Yesterday my ubby learned that his gaming friend's mom had passed away. He plays rpg games on Fridays, and has a group that comes over to our house for several hours. Two of the guys are fater & son, and their wife/mother had passed Thursday morning. While it was something they had seen as inevitable for a bit, it is always a sad thing to deal with loss.
I always have a difficult time thinking of a card to make for any sympathy reason, but I saw a beautiful example on Frances Byrnes blog, StampOwl's Studiothe other day. She used a gorgeous stamp she had. I don't have those, so I created my card front in PhotoShop Elements; it is entirely digital.

I added embossing to the card base for some texture, and used a deckled
Spellbinder die around the image.

Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you have a craft-fillled weekend!
Happy Crafting!

  2. It's truly a lovely card even though from a sad occasion. The sentiment is touching and I will have to file that away and hope I never have to use it for a long long long time.
