November 'Anything Goes' Challenge at Catch the Bug!

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!

 Today is a new challenge day at Catch the Bug Blog, featuring all kinds of sweet Bugaboo Stamps images! Since it's the first Saturday of the month at Catch the Bug, it's an

Anything Goes

theme for our challenge this week!

This card features TWO images Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin Crow, both from Bugaboo Stamps. 

I started by coloring the images in PSE, then combining them into one file. I added the sentiment/poem, also in PSE. It was a nice autumn poem that I found in Google.  I used my I used one of my EK Success edgier punches for the leaves, and I layered a piece of scrap dp behind it for some color. A quick, clean and simple......and very mailable A2 card!  :)

Fall is in the Air!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! 

This week's theme is 

Fall/Autumn

It's nice to have some fall color on the trees, some crisp mornings and I love the change of the winds at this time of year! For our challenge this week, we want you to tap into the season! However the Autumn Season inspires you, we want to see it in your project!

Today I am using the Brat Autumn Pumpkin image from Bugaboo Stamps.  He is doing one of our favorite traditions, it seems......which is picking out the pumpkin!!

I colored him in PhotoShop Elements. I've been working on my shadows and shading more, but I made the mistake of photographing this card next to my tall candy jar, so the light reflected shadows off the jar onto my card, and it detracts from the shadows I actually colored. :( Oops! I would have used one of my back up pics, but they turned out fuzzy! My batteries must be running low, or something.

Anyhow, I cropped off part of my image base at an angle, then added a couple banners and brads. I had some small leaves ready to put on the card, too, but they just weren't working out. Ever have those days??

One more thing before I wrap this up....

I am now assisting the DT Coordinator with some of the more routine things at Catch the Bug Blog to fill in some time for our wonderful Ms. Min, who is expecting Baby #1, and is happily preparing for the arrival! I'm helping out with some posting duties, and I'm also helping out by choosing a Bugaboo Stamps Fan of the Month! An Autumn Bingo at Catch the Bug

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! We are hosting 
our monthly 
B-I-N-G-O Card Challenge! 

Without further ado , here is this weeks Catch the Bug 

Bingo Card:

Isn't this BINGO Card the coolest?! So many choices!

You may choose three squares: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal!

My card uses the diagonal squares - Use Mustard, Burgundy or Brown, Bugaboo Image, Use Sentiment "Happy Fall".

My card features the Bugaboo Stamps Deacon School Sign It image. I used my Spellbinders Oval die to create the curved edge at the top of my main image. M dp is from a Little Sizzles Country pad of paper by Sizzix (these are so old!). I made the sunflower embellie with EK Success punches. My image is colored in PSE, as typical for me, and the sentiment is typed onto the sign with Chalkduster font.

I have been in a fall/sunflower mood, lately, and loved the way the bright yellow card stock looked against the brown polka dot dp paper. I pulled out some old metal photo corners I had in my stash. They have some tiny flowers embossed on them. I think they work well to "anchor" my card. I haven't, yet, added a sentiment, as I'm not sure what this one should say - any suggestions?!
