What's Black, Silver and full of Bling?!

..............my card for this week's Catch the Bug Challenge, of course! lol!

So glad you could stop by! The 4-1-1 on this week's Bugaboo Stamps Challenge over at their Catch the Bug Challenge Blog is to create a project using Black, Silver and BLING! :0)  Last week you saw some great projects that the Bugaboo DT put together for the Paper Pretties Challenge, and this week their team is joining us for ours! A great way to build up your Bugaboo image inventory is to enter your project into the challenge! You could win up to SEVEN Bugaboo images! Woohoo! And all for just linking up a project that goes along with this week's theme!

This week I used the Fancy Umbrellas - Umbrella 4 image from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored the umbrella in PSE. I added some red gel pen to the ribbon outline, and some Stickles Glitter Glue to the flowers. The black flower is a Prima, and the brad, and corner ticket punch used, is by Stampin' Up. The sentiment is something I typed up and printed in PSE. The card base is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, and then I added some silver gel pen to the dots. The striped silver card stock is by DCWV. The ric rac ribbon is out of my stash. I have to tell you.....I am loving my Xyron Sticker Maker for adding adhesive to my ribbons, lately! Awesome little machine! If you don't have one, you should definitely add it to your "wish list"!

Bugaboo DT Swap with Paper Pretties!

Hi, everyone!

Today is a special swap day for the Bugaboo Stamps Design Team, and as a Guest Design Team Member, I am participating! :0) We are swapping with Paper Pretties today, and they have some really cute images that are so fun! Their challenge is to create a card using BLACK - WHITE - GOLD. I was allowed to choose any of their images that I wanted, and I actually had no trouble deciding.........this is Parrot Hani. I just thought he was awesome when I saw him! I'll bet he is a greedy little pirate parrot, just happy to be "swimming" in his new-found treasure (at least......that is what my crazy brain is going with! lol!).

For my card, I created the gold background paper using a Stampin' Up background stamp, World Map, that I digitized. I did some light inking with some different brown inks to give it an "old" look. The gold layer beneath my image is vellum paper, and it is cut with a Nestie die. My image is colored in PSE, and once printed, I added some Stickles glitter glue to bling up the treasure some. I added some ribbon, and a ribbon slide from my stash.

Below is my attempt to show that he is fan-tab-u-lous by trying to make him look like he jumped over the moon.....get it? Now, back to my card......I used my Nesties for the base of the cow image. I punched a couple of quick stars from some DCWV glitter card stock, and the moon is blinged up with some Stickles Frosted Lace. I'm still running behind this week.......with hubby in the hospital for five days, the running back and forth has me pooped out and now fighting a sinus infection. I'm keeping it in check, so far, but sure would like to be back to my normal self........wait.......didi I just say I was normal!! BWAH-HA-HA-HAH!!!!!! That's a funny.....

Busting at the seams with EXCITEMENT!!!!

Hi, everyone!!!
If you've read my recent emails, you know I've been super busy with family "stuff" the past couple of weeks, the most recent.....not so "happy"! I have been holding on to some information, though, for several weeks now that has me super-duper excited...........can you guess what it is?! NO??!!! Well...........let me tell you......for November and December I am a Guest Designer for Bugaboo Stamps!!!!!

Can you imagine my excitement!?! HAHAHA! Make sure you stay tuned for all the latest and greatest, including todays fantastic NEW RELEASE, over at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. Here's a closer look at my flower details

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this image, at first. I broke out some Black Diamond Stickles for the flowers, and some of my SU markers. Once my Stickles were dried I added some Paper Glaze to the roses for dimension, which I hope I captured for you in  my pictures! The bg paper is a DCWV La Creme flocked mat. The black leafy embellishes are cut from a nestie die, and my cream colored flowers are Prima.
