Hang in there!

Hi, everyone!
I've been spending time organizing and creating in my craft room today (not necessarily in that order! lol!). I put together some encouraging cards for my stash. This one features the Doodle Pantry Kite Ants. The digital image kit includes sentiments, so I used one of them, as well, feeling it was perfect for what I was aiming to do....put a smile on a frowny-face!
I'm entering this into the Doodle Panty Monthly Challenge.

I had picked up the great papers from JoAnn on one of my more recent shopping spress. They are from the Heidi Grace SunShowers Paper Pad. I used my Silhouette Studio oftware to print and cut the image, and some Fiskars Cloud punches (after running my paper through my Big Shot with a Swiss Dots embossing folder).

That's all for now! I'll be back again soon with more cards to post, I'm sure! In the meantime, feel free to stay and browse some of my other posts! :)

A Doodle Pantry Double-Take

Hi, everyone! I hope you are enjoying your week, thus far!
I felt like putting together a quick, clean and simple card this morning......and then decided that two is better than one! lol! Yes, I know it is two of the same, but I figure there is no harm in padding the stash o' cards, right?!

I have loved this Doodle Pantry image since it was introduced, but haven't used this one until now. What a sweet little ewe, and it comes colored, black and white and with several sentiment choices! Oh, and it includes a couple of digital papers in the kit, too!
For my card, I pulled out some old DCWV papers I had in my stash - The Linen Stack.
I used my Silhouette Portrait to Print N Cut the image, sentiment and layered shapes.
I created the sentiment shape by merging some basic shapes to go around the spyglass and the text, plus I cut an extra spyglass for popping up on a pop-dot for a little added dimension. My papers are glittered, so I did not add any additional rhinestones or pearls on this one.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy my quick, simple creation and that you come back again to visit!

Clean and Simple

Hi, everyone!
My hubby and I are going to be celebrating our ten-year wedding anniversary on May 3, so I've decided to make him a card for every year we've been together. :0) He is a big softie, and actually a bit of a sentimental hoarder. lol! I found a drawer full of things I had given him over the years recently, and it even included things like the cards that come with a bouquet of flowers. Awwww.........
He'd blush is he knew I was telling his secret, so shhhhhhhhh............hehehe!
Anyhow, I recently purchased some things from Doodle Pantry, and I've used two of the items here: the AntsUmbrella image and the Ants Digi-Paper.

The inside sentiment reads "In every life a little rain will fall.....and I'm so glad to have you holding my umbrella". :0) Of course, there's a personal note, too, but that's just between him and me. :0)
I colored my image in with my Prisma Pencils, and I used PSE to add the patterns on the umbrella. I added some paper glaze to all the water of the image.
My copper is a specialty paper and it was cut with my nesties. A very clean, easy layout on the card, but I think it suits the image.
Thanks for stopping by today! If you have any Doodle Pantry images, they have a monthly challenge that offers a chance to win more free! If you don't have any of their images but want to join in, they do have some freebies on their store site, too!

Trying something new.....

Hi, everyone!
I have seen the circle easel cards around the blogs, and have always wanted to try one, but never took the time to do it. Today, I was feeling like doing something "different", so here's a card I made using the quick, and super easy, tutorial by Beate.

I used a Doodle Pantry image called Hang in There. I learned another new technique in PSE today, too, and that is to warp the text, so I did just that to my sentiment. :0) I created my Circle easel Card, then added some Prima Flowers, punched rock fern leaves that are inked, and some brads.
Easy-peasy, right?! It was, actually.....just follow the link to Beate's instructions so you can make one, too!

A couple of new sites......

Hi, all! I came across a couple new sites (to me, that is!), and I picked up this adorable, cute....sooooo-eeeet piggy! lol! I couldn't resist him. He is from Doodle Pantry. They have some real cuties, and many images are offered as colored and black and white, plus some even include some digi-papers.....like this fella'! I think this is the first time I have made a card with a pre-colored digi, but he was so silly-cute that I just HAD to! lol! I am entering him in the Doodle Pantry Challenge, too! They have great challenges......and offer a free pre-selected digi for participating! Isn't that cool?!
Anyhow, here's my card.....
I also recently started following Kevin, at McCrafty's Cards, and he is a member of the DT at Sketch N Stash, where they have regular sketch challenges. I LOVE sketch challenges, so I entered the one for today, which was to choose from a selection of sketches they have shown in the post (you'll have to go check it out....there's several!). :0) Here is the sketch I chose
