Gift Bag

I have always loved making the 2-5-7-10 box! (For those of you not familiar, or those that wish to create one by hand, instead of with the machine, please visit the Splitcoaststampers tutorial here. You can also refer to this link for folding directions.) It's a great little bag/box for creating treat bags and gift bags. I have used it in the past for candy, and I had added a cut out in the middle, then taped some clear acetate on the inside of the bag so you could see what was in the bag. (Just another idea to get your juices flowing!) I am working on some this week to give away some fantastic goat-milk soaps I found while visiting my son in IN (near Shipshewana).
One of my problems with cutting things by hand is my arthritis. I can't always make my fingers do what I want them to, and often end up with some crooked cuts that don't line up quite right. So, I decided to create the 2-5-7-10 bag as an svg! :)  I used a 12 x 12 piece of double sided paper on my mat. Other tools I used are my double-stitch punch, Stampin Up's scalloped edge and eyelet punches, and some double-sided sticky tape.
Here is my end result for today. I may do some more decorating on the front, but I haven't decided, yet. :) It's become a "set it aside and look at it more later" project.
Finished size is 2"deep x 5" tall x 3" wide.

  7. The selection of gift is an art. Our gifts must represent two things. First, they must fulfill the needs of our friends and relatives. Second they must be creation of our selves. They must be the part of our own nature. Different creative gifts become a part of the memory of the person who receives.
