Guest Designer - From the Heart Stamps, A Sketch Challenge!

Hello, everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful day! I am very excited to share this weeks card post as Guest Designer for From the Heart Stamps! Woohoo! 

I am having a great time playing along with their talented design team each week!

Not only does From the Heart Stamps have some incredibly adorable images, but at From the Heart Stamps Blog a sketch challenge is hosted regularly. It is called a Sketch Challenge with a tWiSt: a sketch is provided, but so is an additional requirement. Don't worry.....no need to feel overwhelmed with rules and restrictions! You can choose to use the sketch, OR you can create using the tWiSt....or you can do BOTH! :)

Here's a really cool thing about these sketch challenges: EVERYONE IS A WINNER! You can earn a $1 discount code toward any digi image in their store. No, not by being a random winner, but just by entering! And even better, yet.......you can use multiple codes toward purchases in their store! Okay....now that I've explained my excitement about this great digi-stamp company, let's move on to my card for this week.  This week I have used the sketch only.

I chose to play with the adorable Ladybug Parade image on my card. I colored my image digitally, with PSE. I cut it out using a Spellbinders Classic Ovals die. I had these great papers from old Sizzix Sizzlets pads in my stash, and I grabbed several. I was excited to have these to use with this image, which is why I didn't follow the tWiSt this week! I thought they went together perfectly!

I used some Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals to layer under my image, as a Stampin' Up Scalloped Edge Punch for my red strip of paper. I added some Prima flowers and rhinestones from my stash. The leaves were created using the Memory Box Tiny Tendril die, and my ladynug was created using the Cheery Lynn Tiny Things with Wings die. I used some small dabs of Glossy Accents on the ladybugs crawling on the branch to give them a little bit of dimension and shine.
