It seems that inspiration always strikes me in the strangest places. I always think of things when I'm out and about, and then forget about it when I am back home, but this time, I had my camera ready!!
Where do you find your inspiration? This time, I was sitting at the airport waiting for my flight home from the beach, and in front of me were these plastic signs. Aren't they cute?! I was so bored waiting for the plane, and there wasn't much going on at the little airport I was at......except for the guy that tried to go trough security with live ammo in his bag. He didn't seem to understand WHY that is a problem! ....Some people's kids, man........hahaha!
Anyhow, that was a brief distraction from these little plastic fellas that were "speaking" to me. I couldn't help but think of some cards that I had made with my old Stampin' Up set called Little Trucks. I came home, pulled the card out of my stash and cut the front of it off to re-work it. I think these would make really great note cards for OWH! What little boy wouldn't like a note card from a relative that they miss, right?!
I created the svg as a border that measures just under 5", and as a single. The free file is available on the left sidebar under "Construction Man". It contains the border and four hats in one file, and a separate single man and hat in another file.
I ran the border bodies through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder, and then I inked lightly around the edges and over the embossing. The background paper is a digipaper that I had printed out some time ago (sorry, I can't remember where it is from). The embossing behind the stamped image is the Cuttlebug Diamond Plate folder.
I hope you enjoy!
Happy Crafting!
