Back from the Beach!

Hi, everyone!
I know I have been absent for a while.....so sorry, and I am trying to catch up with posts from all of you! I was away, visiting a wonderful, sweet friend at the beach in SC! Yes.....warm weather, gorgeous ocean views, and the best company I could have asked for! :0)
I made a thank you card today for the person that let us stay at their beach house. This is also your freebie for the day! I do hope that you like it as much as I do - I think it turned out really nice: it cuts well, looks good, and isn't made up of a million tiny pieces! :0)
Final card measures 5"x5".
You can see some of my tiny shells that I picked up in the sand. I brought just a few small ones home with me, hoping to add them to a scrapbook page I have in mind. :0)
The card uses Stampin Up card stock. I used some old Apricot Appeal, Bordering Blue, Going Grey. I ran some of the pieces through my Cuttlebug: the wing through with the Textile folder, and the rocks are run through with the D'Vine Swirls folder. Some inking on the edges, and some sponged "water" in the background. I popped open a new white gel pen I have --- oooooo...it writes so nice! It gave my waves just a bit more movement. I have a tendency to "over do" the gel pen, but I think it looks better here than on some of my past cards. :0)
Anyhow.....I hope you all have had a wonderful couple weeks! I look forward to catching up on posts, and will be back again soon with another freebie for you! In the meantime, have a great week, and Happy Crafting!
The freebie is now available on my sidebar list, under Pelican. Please refer to my Terms of Use, located on the top of my blog and there is a jpg in the download that spells them out. Thank you!
