Dog Days of Summer

Hi, everyone!

Thursday's are Oldie But Goodie Days at Catch the Bug Blog
I love OBG day because I can break out some of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps to play with, and have an excuse to show them on my blog! lol! As if I need an excuse, right?!
All of the different dog images that Jodie creates for Bugaboo Stamps are simply precious, and I couldn't resist using this adorable Scruffy Puppy Topper for a recent birthday card.

I changed the digi over to an SVG file to create my Scruffy Puppy cuts on my Silhouette machine.
PLEASE NOTE:
It is noted in the Bugaboo Stamps Terms of Use that creating die-cuts without express permission is not allowed. ALL MY PAPER PIECED DIE-CUTS WERE CREATED WITH PERMISSION!
I also cut the window with my Silhouette. The balloons are a Sizzlit die, and the curtain was created using a border punch.
I added some glaze to the dog nose and tongue, and adhered the dog with pop dots for some dimension.

Pick up this cute Bugaboo image, and others, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!). It's also where you can check out all the other fantastic DT projects, including the OBG (Oldie But Goodie) stuff, the ABC (Anything But a Card) items, and the Tuesday New Releases......plus so much more!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Today is 'Love Your Pet' Day!

Hi, everyone!
We all know about holidays through the year such as Valentine's Day, Easter, July 4th and Christmas, but what about those oft-forgotten, completely crazy head-scratcher holidays that are rarely heard of, and often laughable?! Well.........at Catch the Bug we will be highlighting some of the whacky holidays each week with some great projects and cards to depict them! We're calling it
Humor Me Wednesday!
We hope you will join us in the fun each week: take a peek at some of the different days by visiting the talented DT members for Bugaboo Stamps for some inspiration. Most holidays are just belly-busters, while others are just plain fun! :0) We are choosing holidays from each week for the Humor Me Wednesday creations, so we aren't all covering the same one. We're hoping this offers you that much more inspiration and fun! :0)

Here's my littlest stinker, Mia, giving us some love.....er......yeah....

For my card today, I chose to use today's holiday: Love Your Pet
Many of you know that I have three dogs....yep, three! My youngest, Mia, is a ticked beagle, and she has a tendency to find herself in some very stinky situations! That nose of hers puts her into a heap of trouble (and stink!) too many times to count. lol!
Recently, she was competing with my stinky-foot teenage son in the "offensive stench game" (it's the worst kind of game, trust me!). While I thought he had left a pair of smelly socks stuffed under the chair, or worse...stuffed into the couch - yuck....it turned out that my little princess was the culprit! She had found some still-unidentified "something" in the yard, and whatever it was, she must have had a puppy-heyday rolling around in it. Anyhow, she needed some serious pooch-pampering! Hubby and I spent a half hour perusing the pet store supply of anti-stink shampoo for her. lol! She's not much of a fan of baths, but she was a happy little camper when she was done (and so were our noses!). She gave us lots of puppy-love kisses, and received tons of puppy hugs in return!
So, for today's silly holiday, I put together this little package for her.....Imean us. :0)

One more Rottweiler Puppy Card

Hi, everyone! I have been super busy with some travel, and planning more travel, but I managed to finish putting together this card that I have been working on for a few days. This is a Bugaboo Stamps image, and I created this card for the Catch the Bug Challenge Clean and Simple Challenge.
It is a Center Step Card, and you can find a simple tutorial on how to create this card base here, at SplitCoastStampers.com.
Below is a side photo to show you the "steps".
I colored in my image with my PSE program (sorry, didn't venture into the new Copics collection on this one!). I used some old MME papers and SU card stock for the card, plus an old brad and dangle that I purchased (years ago) from Wal-Mart. My sentiment was printed and punched with SU Circle punches (the old thumb-lever punches that have been around forever....I sure wish I had the skinny, easy-to-store style!).
