Anything But a Card - A Pillow Treat Box

It's an ABC (Anything But a Card) Day over at Catch the Bug, and it's my turn to create something! :0) I always have a difficult time coming up with projects for ABC Day. I don't have any little ones at my house (my son is 21, and just does not appreciate good paper crafty stuff, ya' know?!). I never know what on earth to do with my goodies once I'm done with them. Hubby keeps every card I give him, and if I start giving him 3D paper objects.....well......I just have no idea where the man will pile them up! lol! Anyhow, it's always a tough day for me to create for my DT assignments, but I am giving it a go! 

For this assignment, I wanted to do something quick, simple, and fun! I used the Bugaboo Stamps Circle Sentiments - Pumpkin Season image, and took this opportunity to play with one of the Fill Patterns on my Silhouette Studio program to add him to the argyle background that has colors perfect for fall!

Once I printed the pattern and image out, I put it on my Silhouette cutting mat, and let the machine do it's thing. From there, it was just a matter of a couple quick folds, which were perforated in the cutting file. Now this is ready to be filled up with some pumpkin seeds....which I have yet to make! :)

Anything But a Card......a Halloween Banner of Cute Spooks!

It's an ABC (Anything But a Card) Day over at Catch the Bug, and it's my turn to create something! :0) I always have a difficult time coming up with projects for ABC Day. I don't have any little ones at my house (my son is 21, and just does not appreciate good paper crafty stuff, ya' know?!). I never know what on earth to do with my goodies once I'm done with them. Anyhow, it's always a tough day for me to create for my DT assignments, but I am giving it a go!
With Halloween being my favorite holiday of the year (yes, even more-so than Christmas!), and making svg files one of my favorite things to do, I decided to create this Halloween Banner with some svg files that I made using some of the Bugaboo Stamps Halloween Bobblehead images!
I just LOVE the Bobbleheads, and paper piecing these together was so fun!

Note: Cutting files for this project were created with special permission from the copyright holder of each image. Copyright belongs to Bugaboo Stamps.

The other pieces of my banner were created from a Silhouette Studio file. I cut my patterned paper, then adhered it to card stock that was also cut to the same shape. This gave each flag a little more strength, so they won't tear or bend easily.

I blinged up some of the parts of the characters with some Stickles, as well as doing a lot of inking and gel pen work for details.

I don't have any little ones at my house (my son is 20, and just does not appreciate good paper crafty stuff, ya' know?!). I never know what on earth to do with my goodies once I'm done with them. Anyhow, it's always a tough day for me to create for my DT assignments, but I am giving it a go! (I have several ABC assignments this year, so I better get used to it, right?! lol!) 

Today I'd like to share my little Easter Egg Basket that I made with my Silhouette cutter. I figure I can put this on my desk and fill it with my favorite Easter candies......you know, ALL the available candies for this time of year! lol! I love jelly beans, and those little robins egg malted "thingys".......Mmmmmm.....bring on the sugar! lol!

I decorated this with a little scene that includes several dies in addition to the adorable Bugaboo Stamps image that I used, called Happy Easter to Ewe. I also added some tiny pearls to my little flower centers. A few pop dots, strategically used, add some extra dimension.

Anything But a Card - Love is in the Air

With Valentines Day just around the corner, I have seen so many of the cute little mailboxes on the web, and I wanted to give a try at making one.

I kept this one simple, using bold patterns to give interest to the body of the box. I used the 

  Bugaboo Stamps image called AKV Simple Stick - Stand. I have used her several times on my cards. I like her because she's simple, but still such a cutie! I used a heart-shaped brad for holding the flag (it does move up and down, which is so fun!). I added an adhesive tile to the box front as a sentiment.

Anything But A Card

Hi, everyone!

It's an ABC (Anything But a Card) Day over at Catch the Bug, and it's my turn to create something! :0) I always have a difficult time coming up with projects for ABC Day. I was inspired by some of the newer Halloween images that Jodie has offered, recently, and this Bugaboo Stamps Halloween Circle Sentiments - Best Witches and Trick or Treat Feet images worked out well for decorating my empty peanut butter jar. I don't normally keep candies in the house, but I did pick up some peanut M&M's that brightened up my desk in this jar (and they are so yummy, too! lol!).

Anything But a Card at Catch the Bug

Hi, everyone!

It's an ABC (Anything But a Card) Day over at Catch the Bug, and it's my turn to create something! :0) I always have a difficult time coming up with projects for ABC Day, but I to come up with a graduation gift for my son's very sweet, very unique girlfriend. She has such a wonderful, light, bright personality, and this Bugaboo Stamps Cat in Hat image was a perfect image that worked for a frame I made her (photos here are pre-framing).

This is a single page 12x12 layout using the Bugaboo Stamps image Cat in Hat - Youer than You.   It is going to be mounted into a shadow box frame. I love, love, love the Dr. Seuss stuff! I colored up the Bugaboo image in my PSE, then took it into my Silhouette Designer Studio program to Print and Cut it out for my layout. I picked up the pink Seuss paper at Joann a while back, and knew this would be perfect for the frame, too. I made my ornate frame from a Silhouette cut file on my new Silhouette Portrait (I am loving the compact size of this machine! Awesome!). My title letters are all Sizzix Playground Alphabet Sizzlit die cuts. I used some EK Success borderpunches, some Spellbinder Circle dies and some heart rhinestones. I am going to add her name to the page, too, but wanted to keep that off the internet for her privacy. :)
