Stamping Dragon Deisigns Pyramage & A Free SVG Bag!

Hi, everyone!

I thought I'd switch things up a bit with my Stamping Dragon Designs post today. Normally I create a card with the adorable dragon images that Janette offers, but today I want to show you what I've created using one of the beautiful Decoupage and Pyramage Pages that she has in her store!

This bag is an svg file I created, inspired by my great friend, Cely! :0)

Both sides of the bag are decorated the same. 

The handle is made up of sea horses, starfish and dolphins. 

The Lighthouse Pyramage is actually a four layer file, and comes as ovals or squares, but I kept messing up the last smallest oval cut, so I gave up and just used three. lol! It was "one of those" moments! I added some inking to the edges of each layer to give it some depth. 

The Beach Bag SVG file contains the bag, a bottom layer to go under the word "Enjoy" and the frame around the word. The bag is one cut, and all pieces fit on the 12x12 at the same time. There are two files in the folder: one with no score lines, and one with. For the one with score lines, tou have to change the line style over to dashes after you open it. 

I did not create this one as a GSD file, but if you need it that way, please ask. 

The final bag measures approximately

1-3/4" x 7-1/2" x 3-1/4"

Lighthouse re-visit, and a link to some seagulls to go with!

A few days ago I posted a free lighthouse svg.......here.....and Jani Lewis has some great seagulls to use with it! Aren't these cute?! And check out her awesome 3D sun! Wow! Go to her blog, Paper Compulsions, to see the entire cared she made, which is INCREDIBLE, and leave her some love! Tell her I sent you and that she should share her seagulls with you! (I'm pretty sure she will!) ;0)

Summer is here! A free lighthouse SVG

Hi, everyone!
Yesterday's post promised you that I was making something for summer, and something that had to do with the beach.......well, here it is!

This card uses my Lighthouse SVG file

 I have had this card in my head for months! I finally sat down and created the lighthouse svg, which is your freebie today! The file contains the lighthouse base, the top layer, the top of the lighthouse (the red paper on my card), the "light" center, and two "rails".  Note: My Cricut blade did not cut through my paper all the way for the light center, so I ended up using a 1/4" circle punch for my card this time. The light center cut is the same size, but my paper was too think for my blade, I guess!
The waves were cut using a free SVG from SVGCuts.com.  I sized the layers to suit my card, ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Mesh folder, inked over the embossing and then added some SU Whisper White Craft Ink and Icicle Stickles to the edges. I made the water by cutting a DCWV Summer Glitter Mat Stack to fit my card, then I tore one edge. I inked the torn edge lightly with some SU Pacific Point ink, and then even lighter with the Whisper White Craft Ink. The seagulls in the sky are drawn on, first with a white gel pen, and then below the white with a black gel pen.
I added some Star Dust Stickles to the light in the lighthouse. The body of the lighthouse is two layers, and I ran the top white layer through my Cuttlebug with a Tim Holtz for Sizzix embossing folder called Brick. I lightly inked over the embossing with SU Pacific Point ink.
I tried to put some Whisper White Craft Ink lines on the glitter "water", and to do some inking with a sponge dauber - lesson learned today: the glitter paper doesn't allow the ink to dry. lol! I used my Stickles to create lines for "waves" in the water, after I wiped up my mess. :0)
