It's New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday.......time for a Bugaboo Stamps New Release! Jodie's been hard at work on some great images, and this April Word Art image is just one of them!

I kept this CAS, and I let the image do the talking.
I typed up the sentiment in PSE, as well as colored my image in PSE. I used my old-school scallop scissors to cut the top of my printed image, did some doodling on it, and used pop dots on both pieces, with a pretty polka-dot dp beneath them, for dimension. I added some Glossy Accents on the rain drops, and I added some Cloud9 Design Acrylic Rain Drops.

Pick up this, and the other new release images, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!). It's also where you can check out all the other fantastic DT projects, including the OBG (Oldie But Goodie) stuff, the ABC (Anything But a Card) items, and the Tuesday New Releases......plus so much more!

Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug (She's so Bossy!)

It's Sunday, the "every-other" kind at Catch the Bug, and time for another
Stella Says Sketch Challenge
#207

For my card today, I've used the Bugaboo Stamps image from an older release of umbrellas. This one is called Fancy Umbrellas Umbrella 3. I did take a few liberties with the sketch, as you can see. I was in a flower-making mood! :) Hindsight is 20/20 they say.....I wish I had moved the corner flourishes in closer to the image, but.....what can you do?! Once that glue went down for the first corner piece, there was no turning back! lol!
I used a tiny flower punch form Marvy for my flowers, Sizzlits Architectural Accent #3 and Architectural Accent #4, and the Ivy Tendrils die from Memory Box. My oval frames, and my sentiment, were cut with my Silhouette Portrait machine. A few little blue rhinestones were added as flower centers to give a bit of sparkle.

Here's the current Stella sketch to follow. We'd love to have you play along with the challenge, and hope that this sketch provides you the inspiration you need!

Clean and Simple

Hi, everyone!
My hubby and I are going to be celebrating our ten-year wedding anniversary on May 3, so I've decided to make him a card for every year we've been together. :0) He is a big softie, and actually a bit of a sentimental hoarder. lol! I found a drawer full of things I had given him over the years recently, and it even included things like the cards that come with a bouquet of flowers. Awwww.........
He'd blush is he knew I was telling his secret, so shhhhhhhhh............hehehe!
Anyhow, I recently purchased some things from Doodle Pantry, and I've used two of the items here: the AntsUmbrella image and the Ants Digi-Paper.

The inside sentiment reads "In every life a little rain will fall.....and I'm so glad to have you holding my umbrella". :0) Of course, there's a personal note, too, but that's just between him and me. :0)
I colored my image in with my Prisma Pencils, and I used PSE to add the patterns on the umbrella. I added some paper glaze to all the water of the image.
My copper is a specialty paper and it was cut with my nesties. A very clean, easy layout on the card, but I think it suits the image.
Thanks for stopping by today! If you have any Doodle Pantry images, they have a monthly challenge that offers a chance to win more free! If you don't have any of their images but want to join in, they do have some freebies on their store site, too!
Happy Crafting!
