Hi, everyone!
Today I have a new SVG file to share with you, as well as some sample cards I made with it.
This post is pretty graphic heavy, so please bear with me as you scroll, scroll, scroll......
The Decorative Gothic Window SVG file folder consists eight svg files: a Cross Window, Leafy Heart Window, Swirls Window, Traditional Pane Window, Vertical Bar Window, and an Open Window. It also contains a Card Base, Gothic Window file that has a cut of a card base with a Gothic Window cut in the center, and a decorative panel for layering that has the window cut out of it, as well (see the Cross Card sample below). The last file contains all six decorative window cuts only in it. Each different decorative window file contains a Shadow, a Solid Shadow and the Decorative Window SVG (for example, the file titles "Cross Window" has the actual cross window cut, the solid shadow base and the shadow base in it when you open it). There is also a separate file of the photos below for inspiration and reference.
All of the files are sized to cut as you see on my cards when you open them, but can be resized to suit your project. TIP: for the more intricate cuts, slow your cutting speed down on your machine (I typically slow mine to a 1 or 2 speed for those), make sure you have a clean, sticky mat, and use patience when removing the cuts from the mats. :0)

I created these windows, trying to make them holiday friendly for every season.
The first one I have to show you is the Gothic WIndow, Cross. I layered this one with the solid shadow on the bottom, cut from vellum. Then I ran the cross window through my Big Shot using a Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder, and inked the folder to give the two-tone look. I added the silk poinsettia flower and some Prima Leaves to it so that this card is for Christmas (as many of my samples will be). This one would work great for a Sympathy Card, Easter, or maybe just to send Blessings to a friend.
I used a gold vellum for my background on this one, so there are two pics to show you. The bottom pic shows the card with a tea light behind the vellum.

The next card I have to show you uses the Gothic Window, Leafy Heart SVG.
For this one, I created a Center Step Card Base (not included in the SVG file). I made this one a bit more girly, just for fun! :0) It could be used for Valentine's Day, maybe an anniversary.....or just for your special friend!
For this window, I layered it with the solid shadow on the bottom, the decorative window in the middle, and the shadow as the top. I wanted the swirly heart to be a different color than the framed part of the window on the exterior. I embellished my card with some Cheery Lyne Dies : the Tropical Flourish, and the Mini Exotic Butterflies. I've also used a Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch for the solid background butterfly.
My bottom borders are punched with a Stampin' Up Scallop Border Punch, and an EK Success Zig-Zag Border Punch.

The next card uses the Gothic Window, Swirls and the Gothic Windows, Open SVG file.
This window consists of the Shadow file, the Swirls file and the Open Window file, layered in that order from bottom to top. I added the open window file as the top layer to make it look like a frame around wrought iron. I was really going for a garden look with this card. This file reminds me of wrought iron gates and garden fixtures. I added two bird die cuts that I created using my Impression Obsession Die, and the Mini Leafy Flourish from Cheery Lynn. The birds are colored using some pigment ink on their bellies, and my
black journaling pen.

This next card is made with the Gothic Window, Traditional Pane SVG file.
I couldn't resist making this one into a Christmas Window, simply because I need more in my stash for sending out soon! lol!
This card is layered as follows, from bottom to top: Solid Shadow, Shadow, and then the Traditional Pane. I used a Sizzix Brick Embossing Folder for my background I inked the top of the folder, using a brayer, with Stampin' Up Riding Hood Red and Dusty Durango ink before running it through my Big Shot. The wreath is cut from my recently posted Wreath, Christmas Holly SVG file. That file was a request, and I'm so glad! It has come in handy, and I can see myself using it for many more cards in the future!

Gothic Window, Traditional Pane
The Traditional Pane Window has been entered into the following challenges:

This final card uses the Gothic Window, Vertical Bars SVG file.
I had some 12x12 paper that had a dining table with a vase of roses scene across the bottom of it. I lined it up on my cuttingmat to cut the part of the picture I wanted to use for the solid shadow cut of the window to make it seem as if you are looking into someone's house that may have set up a nice cup of tea for you! :0)
This card is layered like the one above: from bottom to top - Solid Shadow, Shadow and then the Vertical Bars. I embossed my card base using my Scor-Pal. I added a Cheery Lynn Mini Leafy Flourish, a Prima Flower, a brad, and a Memory Box Perched Bird Die-Cut. The sentiment was punched using a Stampin' Up Word Window Punch.
I colored my bird with Prismacolor pencil, and then used my black journaling pen to add
some detail lines.
