Winter BINGO at Catch the Bug!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! We are hosting our monthly B-I-N-G-O Card Challenge! This is going to be my last card posted, for quite some time. I will still be helping out on the Catch the Bug Blog, but I won't be actively creating any new cards for several months. I thank you all for your support, in the form of leaving comments, and I'll see you again soon! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and a safe and healthy New Year!

Without further ado , here is this weeks Catch the Bug
Bingo Card:

Isn't this BINGO Card awesome?! So many choices!
You may choose three squares: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal!

For my BINGO squares, I chose to use the "Bugaboo Image""Snow/Snowflakes"  and the "Bling" squares.
My card features the Bugaboo Stamps Kidz - Winter Girl image. She is one of the newer   images at Bugaboo Stamps. What do you think?! I love her! Her
cheeks are totally pinch-able!

I colored her in PSE, added a pretty winter sentiment, and some bling. I popped up the main image for some extra dimension. Pretty easy-peasy, really!

Beginning the Christmas Chaos with some Sparkle & Shine!

Hi, everyone!
Welcome to the beginning of the Bugaboo Stamps weeklong
Christmas Chaos
events!

Today we are kicking off a week of Christmas celebrations. Every day we will present a challenge for you to use to create a project, and enter it into the Inlinkz fir a chance to win some great Bugaboo Stamps prize packs! (Be sure to checkout Catch the Bug Blog for all the details!)

For todays challenge, we want you to create a project using some
Sparkle & Shine!

For my card, I am using the Fancy Sunbonnet - Winter Birdhouse image.
I used a bunch of Stickles, Crystal glitter glue on all of the "snow". It didn't turn out as sparkly in my photo as it actually is in my hand, but I think you can at least see some of it. I colored my image in PSE, then did the Stickles, matted and added a snowflake brad.  I think this will be handy for my post-Christmas mailings! :)

Now it's your turn to pick a favorite image, or try something new from Bugaboo Stamps, whip up your project and head on over to enter it into the Inlinkz!

Happy Crafting. and
 good luck in the draw!

Mini Die-o-rama

Hi, everyone!
Happy weekend!
I had a little bit of time on my hands this week. t has been quiet, with my son at "home" in MI for the holidays, and hubby having to work almost every day (he had Christmas Day off, thankfully).
I pulled out more of my dies that have been neglected: heck, everything in my craft space has been neglected for a couple months! This is another card that was heavily inspired by KittieKraft

I did not have the snowflake die that she used on her card, so I made my card front by cutting out a snowflake shape with my Silhouette machine. It is on pop-dots, and behind it are my layers that were made with the Impression Obsession Fir Tree Border die. My "snow" and trees are crimped with my Fiskars crimper and wavy crimper. The snow edge was cut with my Fiskars deckled edge scissors.
I cut the sledding boy from a die that is part of the pack by Papertrey Ink. It comes from the
In the Meadow die set.  My snowflakes were cut from a Cheery Lynn 4x4 die: C146 Snowflakes. I love this die! One pass through the Big Shot creates lots of small, assorted snowflakes that are perfect for cards!
Well, that's it for me, today. Crafting has been sporadic: I've had some major shoulder pain and am in month three of physical therapy, so PT days are rough. I'm waiting on MRI results (hopefully next week I'll know specifics of what is going on), and in the meantime, I am just trying to come up with a few things here and there to stay a little bit active on the blogging!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed your visit!
Happy Crafting!

Brrr....that looks cold!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! This is always a favorite among us crafters because it gives us some visual inspiration! You can choose to use the colors, the theme of the photo, the season....however this picture inspires you, we want to see it in your project!

This week's theme is a
Photo Inspiration
(See picture toward the bottom of my post)

My card features the Bugaboo Stamps AKV Winter - Snow Shoe image..
I used the frozen tundra in the photo as my inspiration.  Winter finally hit the Greenville area yesterday, with some temps in the twenties, and Winter Weather Advisories across the area because of a system that's bringing freezing rain in from over the mountains. Brrr...... I prefer the nice sunshine we just had!

My white snow is crimped woth a Fiskars Wavy Crimper, and layered to look like drifts - I tore the edges of each layer so it looked more like uneven snow.
My pine trees in the distance are a Memory Box Die. I cut it and used it as the very bottom layer, beneath the snow.
I created the sky using some Stampin' Up Ink - Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point. My sponge daubers came in handy for that task. :0)

Winter Wonderland

Hi, everyone!
I'm taking a break from my Bugaboo Birthday Week cards today, but please scroll through the week's posts to visit the cards I have made and the wonderful games and challenges that are going on over at Catch the Bug! We'd be so honored to have you playing along with us this week to celebrate Bugaboo's 3rd Birthday! :0)

I recently purchased some Cottage Cutz dies; these are my first CC dies, ever and I fell in love with them when I saw a card that Kittie Kraft posted a while ago. The dies are Mountain Lodge and Trees & Rustic Sign. I have to say, I had a booger of a time with some of the tiny cut-puts on the Mountain Lodge die! I was 'losing my religion' for several hours, and through six different cut attempts! I did manage, though, and have put together this card for todays post:

There are tons and tons of layers on this. I used a stair fold card base, and lots of pop dots! I added some 3D Glittering Paint for my "snow" on the trees, roof, chimney, steps, and on the torn top of my snowy, crimped layers.
Here are some additional images, some different angles and close-ups. And, as always, clicking the image will enlarge it for better detail views. :0)

Here's a front view, at a higher angle than the first photo.

This view shows the card base folds, and you can see many of the layers from this view.

A close-up of the lodge and trees. The lodge die puts some pretty embossed details into the pieces: cobblestone for the chimney, lines for logs on the home, some pretty dimension on the trees.

I can only ream of a white winter this year, it seems. SC has had incredibly warm temperatures, so far (as have many areas in the country). The days of Michigan winters, where I grew up, are behind me, but I think that's okay: I can always make cards like this and not have to deal with the frigid temperatures that go along with the pretty snow. lol! It is nice to think that some day I will head to a mountain lodge to stay for my holidays, but for right now.....I'm happy right here. :0)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you've enjoyed my card, and that you choose to browse some of my other posts! If you like my work, please follow me, and leave a comment with your website info so I can return the favor! :0)

Humor Me Wednesday!

Hi, everyone!
We all know about holidays through the year such as Valentine's Day, Easter, July 4th and Christmas, but what about those oft-forgotten, completely crazy head-scratcher holidays that are rarely heard of, and often laughable?! Well.........at Catch the Bug we will be highlighting some of the whacky holidays each week with some great projects and cards to depict them! We're calling it
Humor Me Wednesday!
We hope you will join us in the fun each week: take a peek at some of the different days by visiting the talented DT members for Bugaboo Stamps for some inspiration. Most holidays are just belly-busters, while others are just plain fun! :0) We are choosing holidays from each week for the Humor Me Wednesday creations, so we aren't all covering the same one. We're hoping this offers you that much more inspiration and fun! :0)

For my card today, I chose to use the Jan 6 holiday: Cuddle Up Day.
While this one isn't a funny card or subject, I thought this was actually a very good way to celebrate a day, don't you? I even told hubby what day it was, so we spent it by cuddling up with a movie together on the couch for a few hours. Sometimes he's such a sweetie......okay, MOST times he is! :0) I'm a lucky lady!

Anything Goes at CTB and a New Easel Card SVG

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! This week's theme is a crafter fave:

This week's theme is
ANYTHING GOES!

In addition to it being an Anything Goes week, I am excited to offer the Easel Card, Snowflake SVG File that I'm using here for sale, as well! Please visit my "SVG Cutting Files For Sale" Tab at the top of my blog for further information. :0)

I have used the Christmas Words - Snow image for my card. It is actually the inside of the card, but since it's an easel, it shows when the card is displayed, too!. I love that about easel cards!

This photo shows the easel, displayed.

I colored my image lightly, with my Prismacolor pencils. I added some 3D Glitter Glue to the snowy parts of the image (a LOT of the image! lol!) You may be able to see it if you enlarge the photo, but the camera just never seems to pick up the glitter stuff too well for me. :0(
The same 3D Glitter Paint is used on each cut out of the Snowflake on the front. After letting it all dry, I used pop dots to put the three snowflake cuts together, which gave it some nice dimension.
Below are some additional photos to show more details a bit closer.

This is a close photo of the digital image. You can also see some of the glitter on the snowflake at the top of the photo.

Here is a shot of the front of the card. This snowflake took lots of glitter paint, but the effect is really great.......musch more so in life than in the picture. :0)
