Which List are You on?! It's a 'Naughty or Nice' Challenge at Catch the Bug!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! This week's theme has me using an image I have had in my arsenal for a long time, but have not put to a card. The image I am featuring is called JJ Christmas - Ornament. She's a sassy girl in this image, so I'm guessing she didn't quite make the cut for the 'Nice List'!
 Haha!

This week's theme is
Naughty, or Nice?

Oh....You Dirty, Dirty Girl!

Hi, everyone!
We are trucking along through our
Christmas Chaos Week
at
Catch the Bug!

Today, we are showcasing creations that will tickle your funny-bone....or so we hope!
We are showing off our
Humor Me Wednesday
with the twist of Christmas!

Normally, Wednesdays are reserved to highlight some of the whacky holidays each week at Catch the Bug, some of the lesser-known holidays, that is; today, though, we are creating some humorous Christmas Cards to share with you!

For my card today, I am featuring the super-sexy, ever-so-snarky JJ Christmas Cheers image. I think one of my friends will get a chuckle out of JJ's antics!

I colored up my image is PSE, as always, adding a sentiment that I found on the web. I added some glitter gel pen to her boot buttons, but it is hard to see in the photo (some things just never photograph well, right?!). I used some Bazzill Bling card stock for my image mat and dp mat. It also gives a bit of shine and shimmer to the card. I dug deep into my stash for the dew drops that I added, and the wreath charm is something that I picked up for a lady on Facebook group for selling/swapping scrapbook stuff (there are so many, and I apologize because I don't remember which one of them I found the charms on).

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT goodies at the Catch the Bug Blog, today! Don't forget to join in with your funny card, too, so you can be entered to win the daily prize!

Happy Crafting!

Beginning the Christmas Chaos with some Sparkle & Shine!

Hi, everyone!
Welcome to the beginning of the Bugaboo Stamps weeklong
Christmas Chaos
events!

Today we are kicking off a week of Christmas celebrations. Every day we will present a challenge for you to use to create a project, and enter it into the Inlinkz fir a chance to win some great Bugaboo Stamps prize packs! (Be sure to checkout Catch the Bug Blog for all the details!)

For todays challenge, we want you to create a project using some
Sparkle & Shine!

For my card, I am using the Fancy Sunbonnet - Winter Birdhouse image.
I used a bunch of Stickles, Crystal glitter glue on all of the "snow". It didn't turn out as sparkly in my photo as it actually is in my hand, but I think you can at least see some of it. I colored my image in PSE, then did the Stickles, matted and added a snowflake brad.  I think this will be handy for my post-Christmas mailings! :)

Sharing the Magic!

Hi, everyone!
Thursday's are Oldie But Goodie Days at Catch the Bug Blog
I love OBG day because I can break out some of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps to play with, and have an excuse to show them on my blog! lol! (As if I need an excuse, right?!)

Today I am using the Fairy Christmas from Bugaboo Stamps.  I think this image is simply beautiful. I am not very skilled at coloring in "people" images....cutesie stuff, okay, but not people that are supposed to look like "people"......so, I challenged myself to work with this image for todays 'oldie but goodie' theme. She took me a long time to color in PSE, but I am happy with the result (she looks much better digitally, I swear! lol! Printing always takes away detail from digital coloring, at least for me.)

I wanted to use some non-traditional colors, so I went with the pinks and purples for the fairy. I brought the green into the card by matching up a Graphic 45 dp scrap to her wing colors. I used my Simon Says Stamp A2 Curved Edge die for the image and purple layer. I pulled out my Cheery Lynn Holly Flourish die for the leafy embellish.  The sentiment is a CTMH stamp that I digitized, printed and cut out with a Spellbinders Classic Squares, Small die. I used a Stampin Up corner punch on it, and then popped it up with some foam dots. For a bit of bling (which is hard to see in the photo), I added some Stickles, Crystal glitter glue here and there on the image.

That's it! She's ready to be mailed for the holiday season, I think!
Thanks for stopping by!

For my card, I've used the Dottie - Christmas Shop. She is colored in PSE. I loved the color that Ms. Min chose for the this years Christmas in July theme, and used those for my card! My "Joy" sentiment is a retired Sizzlit die. Papers are from Paper Studio. My curved edge is fussy cut.
Be sure to leave a comment below, as I will be choosing a random commenter to win this image after our Christmas in July celebrations have ended!

As you can see, I left my card super clean and simple. This is my "normal", but I'll be very honest........I have lost Mr. Mojo. He's in hiding, or on hiatus, or something! I was running out of time, so I colored my image in PSE, then added some Stickles Icicle glitter glue and some Glossy Accents to bling it up a bit. A simple sentiment that I typed up in PSE tops it off. Easy - peezy, right?!

Now head over to gawk at Kelly's awesome work!  Don't forget to leave her some love for a chance to be a winner.
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday July 7th at 6am, EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday July 9th.

Happy Crafting!

Dying to use my Dies

Merry Christmas!
This is a quick post today to show you that I am still crafting!
It has been weeks since I made anything besides dinner. I just have been busy with things going on in life, with family and household "stuff".
I have had some Cheery Lynn dies in my stash that had not been used, yet, and I have been thinking about them! I pulled out a couple today, along with some of my scrap papers. I put together this card, inspired strongly by some cards I've seen this season on the KittieKraft blog.

The designer paper I used is by Basic Grey. It is part of their Eskimo Kisses pack.
I used my Cheery Lynn Winter Neighborhood Border die, and my Cheery Lynn Santas Sleigh and Reindeer Die. I also used my Fiskars Deckle Edge Scissors and the Fiskars Wavy Crimper for the snow. Some pop dots add dimension to several pieces ont his card, but other than that, I kept things pretty simple!

I hope you all enjoy a very Merry Christmas, and have a chance to spend it with your families!

Thanks for stopping by today!'

Guest Designing for DIgital Delights

Hi, everyone! Happy Wednesday!
I am so excited! Today I am the Guest Designer over at the Digital Delights Blog!
I was very honored to have been chosen as a winner for their recent "Holiday Spirit Challenge", and as such, I was given the opportunity to Guest Design for them. :) I have been a long-time fan of the images that are available from Digital Delights, and have often been a challenge participant on their Challenge Blog, too. The images are just too darned cute, aren't they?!
I chose this adorable little elf image, Elf Marcie, for my challenge win prize, and I couldn't wait to color her! I went with some non-traditional Christmas colors for the card, as you can see. Sorry I can't tell you the paper brands" they are all from my stash. I do know that the two background papers were purchased from JoAnn, if that helps!

Elf Marcie is colored in PSE, and I added a few Stickles to her outfit to give her some 'magical' bling.
My Holly Flourish is from a Cheery Lynn die. I cut it out, then I clipped it into smaller pieces so I could layer it a little. I added some tiny purple rhinestones to it. That cute little gingerbread is actually a button that I clipped the shank off of. He is adhered with some Glossy Accents
Here is a closer look, at a slightly different angle, hoping to catch some of the shimmer and shine of the rhinestones and Stickles.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you enjoyed seeing my take on this little cutie. I was honored to have been chosen as a winner at Digital Delights Challenge Blog, and hope to see you there in the next challenge they host! Maybe you'll be the next guest! :)

Happy Crafting!
