Bugaboo Stamps Fan of the Month & "April Showers" Challenge

Hi! Thanks for stopping by!
I am so excited to be the Bugaboo Stamps "Fan of the Month" for April, and to be playing along with the wonderful design team over on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog this week! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope after seeing my card this week, and maytbe browsing through my past posts (*hint*hint*) you come back again! :0)
This week the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog is running an "April Showers" theme for their challenge. You can win some of Jodie's super Bugaboo Stamps digi's if you enter! First Place is seven digi's from the Bugaboo Stamps online store (you have to use a Bugaboo digi on your project to win First Place): Second Place will receive five dig's, and the Third Place winner receives three! How generous is that?! All you need to do is create a card or project with the "April Showers" theme, and then link it up on the blog post.
Here's my card for this theme
The image I used for this is from the "More Turtles" collection of digi's. I colored in PSE, then used my Nestabilities to cut it out as an oval and layer it on a scalloped oval. I also used a recent freebie image, called "Flowers", to create my background paper. I wanted the look of water on the bottom of my card, so I used an EK Success border punch and layered three different shades of blue before adding my ribbon (American Crafts). The water droplets I made in PSE, added the color and sentiment, printed and then hand cut. I layered two, slightly offset from one another, and then added some paper glaze on the top. I added paper glaze to the water part of the image, and the heart on the umbrella, too. I also dotted some Stickles Glitter Glue on the "water" and droplets.
Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think of my card, so please leave me a comment below. :0)

  1. Congrats! That's so exciting! And the card is fantastic. I am a big fan of your use of highlights, especially in the gradient of the shell.
