A New Release at Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday.......time for a Bugaboo Stamps New Release! Jodie's been hard at work on some great images, and this Turtle Umbrella image is just one of them!

I kept this CAS, and I let the image do the talking.
I typed up the sentiment in PSE, as well as colored my image in PSE. I added the pretty rainbow of rain drops from an image I found online (sorry, it was in my files and I have no idea where it came from. It's an oldie computer wallpaper I had downloaded, and resized to fit my card). I added a bit of Stickles Star Dust to the puddle and large rain drop for some bling.

Pick up this, and the other new release images, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!). It's also where you can check out all the other fantastic DT projects, including the OBG (Oldie But Goodie) stuff, the ABC (Anything But a Card) items, and the Tuesday New Releases......plus so much more!

April Showers bring May flowers

Hi, everyone! Happy Sunday!
I hope you are enjoying a fabulous, sunny day because here it has been raining since Thursday! Yikes! It's time to brush up on my ark-building skills, I think!
Today I spent some time in my craft room, finishing up cards to send out and coloring up this adorable Sassy Cheryl image. This is one of her older cuties, and I'm not certain she still offers it. If you like this one, you're sure to love her others! :)

I kept this CAS, and easily mailable in an A2 envelope.
It is colored with my Prisma's, with the help of some Gamsol. I added a flower ribbon, some brads and inked my image edges.
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is having an April Showers Challenge, so stop on over, grab your favorite Sassy Cheryl spring image, and join in, too! :) You better hurry, though - I'm jumping in on the last day! Nothing like squeaking by, right?!

Thanks for stopping by today! If you like my blog and cards, please feel free to follow me; and don't forget to leave a comment so I know you were here, and can come by your blog, too! :)
This card has also been entered into the following challenges:

Bugaboo Stamps Fan of the Month & "April Showers" Challenge

Hi! Thanks for stopping by!
I am so excited to be the Bugaboo Stamps "Fan of the Month" for April, and to be playing along with the wonderful design team over on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog this week! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope after seeing my card this week, and maytbe browsing through my past posts (*hint*hint*) you come back again! :0)
This week the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog is running an "April Showers" theme for their challenge. You can win some of Jodie's super Bugaboo Stamps digi's if you enter! First Place is seven digi's from the Bugaboo Stamps online store (you have to use a Bugaboo digi on your project to win First Place): Second Place will receive five dig's, and the Third Place winner receives three! How generous is that?! All you need to do is create a card or project with the "April Showers" theme, and then link it up on the blog post.
Here's my card for this theme
The image I used for this is from the "More Turtles" collection of digi's. I colored in PSE, then used my Nestabilities to cut it out as an oval and layer it on a scalloped oval. I also used a recent freebie image, called "Flowers", to create my background paper. I wanted the look of water on the bottom of my card, so I used an EK Success border punch and layered three different shades of blue before adding my ribbon (American Crafts). The water droplets I made in PSE, added the color and sentiment, printed and then hand cut. I layered two, slightly offset from one another, and then added some paper glaze on the top. I added paper glaze to the water part of the image, and the heart on the umbrella, too. I also dotted some Stickles Glitter Glue on the "water" and droplets.
Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you think of my card, so please leave me a comment below. :0)
