We are going to follow along the traditional "Twelve Days of Christmas" song.
Since today is the "Seventh Day"of our challenge event, it is the "Seven Swans a'Swimming" day, according to the song: Our challenge today is a Photo Inspiration Challenge!  Here's this gorgeous swan picture to inspire you...

Pretty, isn't it?! :0)

Here's what I came up with, using this beautiful, fancy bird image from Bugaboo Stamps
It's called Jacobean Bird 6

I colored the image in PSE. :0) I added some 3D Glitter White paint to the bird (if you enlarge the photo it's more visible). My card stock is actually white, too, but I had a tough time with the photo today - it's looking a little blue-ish, green-ish to me, here. :0( I added some Stickles to the berries. I layered the image on a Nestie, and scalloped the card edge with an EK Success punch. The embossing was done with my Cuttlebug "Just My Type" border folder. I added some glitter gel pen to the embossed image. I printed the sentiment on my card stock before folding my card base, to make it a single layer. I added some red frilly ribbon to finish it off! :0)

Now, we'd love for you to join us, so head over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog to enter your creation, and you could WIN! I strongly encourage you to check out all the challenge rules while you're there, as we do have a few. :0)

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

  1. This is so sweet and delicate. Thanks for the idea to use that beautiful little embossing folder at its best. A CAS card and another I will keep on file for future reference. I only thought of this as a Spring border and you proved me wrong...
