Hello, everyone!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend (or beginning, if it's already Monday when you read this!). It was a gorgeous weekend here, in SC, and it was wonderful to have the sun shining through open windows. It's been nine days since my shoulder surgery, and while I'm doing okay, there is still a lot of PT ahead of me, so I took some time (and it took forever!) to make a card today, before the physical "torture" sessions begin this week. :)
This is Sketch No.#61 that I found at From the Heart Stamps Blog.
Here's the cool thing about their sketch challenges: EVERYONE IS A WINNER! You can earn a $1 discount code toward any digi image in their store. No, not by being a random winner, but just by entering! And even better, yet.......you can use multiple codes toward purchases in their store! So, if you play three weeks in a row, you can buy a new digi for only $ .50! Play four times in a row, and "buy" a new digi with all four of your codes without spending a dime out of your own pocket! See......I told you that everyone is a winner there! :)
Here's another cool thing about From the Heart Stamps.......they run a month-long challenge in addition to their weekly sketch challenges. "Why is that cool?" you ask??? Because if you use the monthly image, you will be emailed next months image FOR FREE!
I happened to have played in last months challenge, so I received this image in my email at the beginning of April. I'm using it for this months challenge, so I'm double-dipping in their challenges with one card. So clever, right? ;)
This months image is the Spring Medley digi.

I have colored my image in PSE. I did some inking and embossing to create the card base layer. I used my Sizzix Floral Lattice folder. I love that one! I seem to use it bunches more than my other folders......okay, maybe not as much as my Swiss Dots folder, but A LOT! I inked the front of the inside of the embossing folder with some Stampin' Up So Saffron ink, then ran it through my Big Shot machine. I love the light yellow color with the white. Soothing! I used my Sihouette cutter for making the Moroccan Flower squares (sorry, I couldn't find it in the store to link to it).
That's it! Time to go rest the shoulder!
I hope you enjoy your day! I appreciate you stopping by, and would love it if you'd leave a comment!
Thanks for stopping!
Happy Crafting!
Wonderful spring card. Great layout and colors. Hope your feeling better and getting stronger each day. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHey there girly, hope your arm is not giving you too much trouble. This card is so cute, thanks for playing along with us at FTH Stamps.... Hope to see you play again soon!
ReplyDeleteFantastic, Cheryl ! So glad you were able to get a card made, and I'll say prayers for you as you go through the PT. It isn't fun but when you finish, everything will feel so much better. Bless you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect color combo on this. I so want to try that technique with my embossing folders...but I forget! Its such a great effect. Hope you are doing well!
