Bingo!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! We are hosting our monthly B-I-N-G-O Card Challenge!

Without further ado , here is this weeks Catch the Bug
Bingo Card:

Isn't this BINGO Card awesome?! So many choices!
You may choose three squares: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal!

For my BINGO squares, I chose to use the "Use Only 2 Designer papers""Bugaboo Image"  and the "Brads" squares.
My card features the Bugaboo Stamps Morning Coffee image. She is one of the newer  character images at Bugaboo Stamps. What do you think?! I love her! She really knows how to channel me! lol!
I colored her in PSE, added a great sentiment about coffee that I saw on a friends Facebook post not too long ago, and used my A2 Curved Edge die, by Simon Says Stamp, to cut the edge of the image layer and the edge of one of my dp layers. My dp is some old stuff from my stash, made by Sizzix (a looooong time ago!). I added a heart brad, also stash from around the same time frame as my paper.

Guest Designing for The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Hi, everyone! Happy Wednesday!
I am very excited to be a Step-Sister this month, creating alongside some very talented ladies over at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

They hold a bi-weekly challenge on their blog, and this week's theme is
Lots of Layers!

I have been working on so many simple "less is more" kinds of cards for a while now, and this multi-layered card was so much fun! Going back to layers and layers (there are 8 on my card today!) took me a minute to re-program my brain into doing! Lol! Today, I am using an image from Bugaboo Stamps. This is Grumpy Gertrude - Touch Coffee. She is a total laugh-riot, if you ask me! Gee.....I sure hope my admiring her doesn't mean I'm going to become here, someday! lol!

As usual, I have colored my image in my PhotoShop Elements program. I used the sentiment that comes with the image. I layered my main image with some pop dots, as well as the sentiment layer, just for a little bit of extra dimension. A couple of pretty purple rhinestones finished my card.
While I may have added lots of layers, I still kept this pretty CAS, with a lot of straight lines and an easy-peasy layout.

That's it for my card! I hope you can come up with a layered card to join in the fun! You have two weeks to do so....plenty of time! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Anything Goes at Catch the Bug

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!

Today is a new challenge day at Catch the Bug Blog, featuring all kinds of sweet Bugaboo Stamps images! Since it's the first Saturday of the month at Catch the Bug, it's an
Anything Goes
theme for our challenge this week!

Make sure you hop on by to check out all the wonderful DT eye-candy, and we hope you join us for the fun!

This card features the image Ava Latte from Bugaboo Stamps

I started by coloring the image in PSE (surprised?! No....I know you're not! haha). I added the sentiment, also in PSE, and then printed it out on a 3-1/2 x 5 card. I cut the top at an angle (I winged it......seriously, no real thought was put into that one! lol!). I added some pretty blue dp from my K&Co pack of papers. The pretty pink scallop edge is a Spellbinders die from the On the Edge set. This card is headed out the door with a gift card to Starbucks for my bestie back in MI. I'm sure she will love the 'hug in a mug' idea (she's a BIG-time coffee addict!).

Now it's your turn to pick a favorite image, or try something new from Bugaboo Stamps, whip up your project and head on over to enter it into the Mr. Linky!

By entering your project, you could win up to TEN Bugaboo images!
Head on over to Catch the Bug to play along!

One more thing before I wrap this up....
I am now assisting the DT Coordinator with some of the more routine things at Catch the Bug Blog to fill in some time for our wonderful Ms. Min, who is expecting Baby #1, and is happily preparing for the arrival! I'm helping out with some posting duties, and I'm also helping out by choosing a Bugaboo Stamps Fan of the Month! So......if you're a fan of Bugaboo Stamps (and who isn't, right?!), make sure you're posting your Bugaboo cards on your blog because I'm poking around Blog-land looking for YOU! :)

Happy Crafting!

A Recipe Challenge with Bugaboo Stamps

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today!

It's all about the
Recipe
We want to see
Kraft, Embossing and a 'POP' of color

My card features several oldie Bugaboo Stamps images:  Coffee Bean Spoon, Coffee Bean Got Milk, Coffee Bean Sugar and Coffee Bean Sugar Cubes, as well as Grumpy Gertrude Touch Coffee on the inside of my card.
I started by coloring each coffee bean image, and arranged them to fit the width of my card. I actually colored the "sugar" on the spoon of the Coffee Bean Sugar image to look like instant coffee grounds because I actually like to drink instant; in fact, we don't own a brewing coffee pot, we own a Kuerig, which has turned into an overpriced hot water heater, as we never buy the cups for it. Crazy, I know!
I almost never use Kraft card stock or papers, so I wasn't sure how I was going to do so for this project. It was one of those projects that take a couple days  to finish, being left after each stage of creating to mull over the "what else does it need?" question that gnaws at my brain when I don't think something looks done.
I ended up embossing a sheet of Kraft card stock with one of my Cuttlebug folders, Spots N Dots. I layered it onto a Kraft card stock base (it's an A2 size). I used some Stampin' Up Kraft designer paper that I've had for eons in my stash, which I punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch. The 'POP' of color I chose is purple, so I layered my sentiment on a piece of sscrap purple card stock. The inside sentiment is also layered on the same purple color.
My sentiment was created by me in PSE, using Typewriter font.

Here's a look at the inside of my card, using the Grumpy Gertrude Touch Coffee image, which I left uncolored. I did not use the sentiment that comes with her from Bugaboo, but I made up my own.

Something NEW to Jolt You Awake at Bugaboo Stamps!

It's Tuesday.......time for a Bugaboo Stamps New Release! Jodie's been hard at work on some great images, and this Girlz Coffee image is just one of them!

I am in LOVE with this image! She is so AWESOME! I thought......"Jodie must be channeling my life!" when I saw it! lol! I kept my card CAS, and I let the image do the talking.
I typed up the sentiment in PSE, as well as colored my image in PSE. The sentiment came from another Bugaboo image, JJ Coffee to Go. I re-typed it up in a format to suit my card. :) I used my Martha Stewart edge punch for my blue border, and added one of my melted Pony Beads (quick tutorial here).

Pick up this, and the other new release images, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!).
