An Oldie But Goodie

Hi, everyone!

Thursday's are Oldie But Goodie Days at Catch the Bug Blog! 

I love OBG day because I can break out some of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps to play with, and have an excuse to show them on my blog! lol! (As if I need an excuse, right?!)

Today I am using the Silhouette Butterfly from Bugaboo Stamps.  I'm not sure about you, but I love Bugaboo images for their "cute" factor! I adore all of the fun, cute stuff Jodie draws, but there are also so many things she offers that are more along the lines of creating  "pretty" and "beautiful". This image falls more under those categories to me. I have used it before (you can visit that creation here), but this time I used it a little differently.

I digitally "stamped" the image in a blue color, and instead of printing it on plain white paper, I printed it on my designer paper. It created more of a 'stamped collage' look by using this technique. I added some rhinestones to all of my butterflies to give the card some bling, and I inked the edges of each layer (thin and light) to add just a bit of dimension. My main butterfly is popped up on pop dots.

A Beautiful New Release from Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday.......time for a Bugaboo Stamps New Release! Jodie's been hard at wrok on some great images, and this Roses Block is just one of them! 

You ever have a certain image you have to work with, and it just isn't your typical style so you fear you are going to put together a "monster" card? Well......the block images are usually the ones for me that give me that. "Oh no.....what am I going to do with this?!" feeling. I usually stare at them until the very last day my card is due for the team. lol! I am proud of myself for pushing to finish this one ahead of time, though. I made myself work with it a whole two weeks in advance! :0)

Hi, everyone!

I back on my love of the dragons from Stamping Dragon Designs for my post today. I've created this card  using the Penny Dragon with Bag image from the store! I also used the Mustard Seed 12x12 Digipapers for all my papers!

I colored her with my PSE. I used some of my Nesties dies for the oval layers, and an EK Success Border Punch called Parisian for the border. My butterfly is an EK Success layer punch: I've only used two of the three layer punches on this card. I added a few silver mini-pearls as accents.

Free SVG - Winged Things

Hi, everyone!
I know it has been a qhile since I've worked on my SVG creations, and today it is a grey, cloudy, damp day......*SIGH*......the kind that is a reminder that our summer days are almost over. UGH! I'm not ready!
I decided to work on something "summer-ish", to fight off that "feeling".........and I came up with this SVG.

Winged Things SVG

Sorry about the poor pic quality - between my messing with my PSE and blogger doing their down-sizing, it's not looking so hot! I promise it's not so messy in SCAL! lol!

The cut measures almost 8" square. I don't recommend using this much smaller, but if you have great paper, and a good blade, maybe you can! :0)
