Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day, everyone!

Just a quick post to share the card I made for hubby. This is made using dies and an embossing folder, along with some Distress Ink and a few mulberry flowers and pearls from my stash.

It was an extra-thick card, and I made an over-sized envelope for it out of some pretty dp using my new Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers. (Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of that!).

I know it's a very girly,  "froo-froo" card, but he loved it, regardless! :)

Challenges Entered

Love is in the Air at Catch the Bug Blog!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! This week's theme is definitely appropriate for the season!

It's all about
Love!

We want to see you whip up a goodie using
that has anything to do with love!

My card features some favorite Bugaboo Stamps characters, Gus & Stella! This is the
Stella & Gus - Deck of Cards image. I just love the sentiment for this! Even hubby was laughing hard when he read it. (Little did he know....this one's coming his way! Haha! We've been together quite some time, can you tell?! hehehe)

I actually broke the sentiment into two parts (digitally speaking), so that I could use part of it on the outside of the card, and the rest inside. I don't normally finish the inside of my cards, but for this one, I did.

I blinged up the front of this card using some Glossy Accents on both characters glasses. I also added some Stickles, Star Dust, to the poker chips. For the border, I used two Silhouette cuts (Scallop Border Big and Playing Card Suits - Set of 4) to create the border, then filled in the suit cut-outs with some Stickles, Black Diamond and Xmas Red. I used the cut-out Spade and Club on the inside of my card.
My designer paper is Stampin' Up, Jackpot II. I own the digital files, and printed them out on card stock for my card. I used my Stampin' Up Scallop Border Punch and some ribbon for additional touches.

So, let's see your card this week! Whip up your project and hop on over to enter it into the Mr. Linky!

Freebie Friday with Bugaboo!

It's Friday.......time for a Bugaboo Stamps Freebie!
It can be picked up in the store, along with the other fun images that Jodie has to offer at

I saw this great Blocks Card base all over Pinterest, and had to give it a whirl!
(You can check out this video for easy instructions on how to put one together.) I think this adorable image was perfect for it. I colored him up, and then cut him out on my Silhouette machine. I added some mulberry flowers to each step, and some other "love" themed embellishes to finish my card.

Here's a photo from a different angle. The card does flatten, but the embellishes are dimensional that I used, so a box envi will be needed for this one.

Pick up this, as a freebie only for a limited time only, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!). February BINGO Challenge at Catch the Bug Blog

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! We are hosting our monthly B-I-N-G-O Card Challenge!

Without further ado , here is this weeks Catch the Bug
Bingo Card:

Isn't this BINGO Card the coolest?! So many choices!
You may choose three squares: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal!

I chose to use the first column of requirements for my card this week (Red, Paper Piecing, Ribbon).
I am stretching it a bit on my "ribbon", as I am including the ribbon on the image, around the balloon, as my qualification. I know, I know.....(bows head in shame)! I didn't want to use any real ribbon on this card, as it has to be mailed to my sweet little niece. You'll give me a "pass" on this, right?!
My card features one of the Bugaboo Stamps,  Kidz Girl - Hot Air Balloon image!
It, and the other great Kidz images, are available in the Bugaboo Stamps Store! Hop on over and check them out!

I used an SVG banner that I made for the border on this card. I created a shadow for it, then used the red heart cutouts beneath that for a little something "extra". I also added a tiny heart punch to the balloon. My dp is something I made in PSE. The scallop oval and oval are Spellbinders dies.
