Love is in the Air at Catch the Bug Blog!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! This week's theme is definitely appropriate for the season! 

It's all about

Love!

We want to see you whip up a goodie using

that has anything to do with love!

My card features some favorite Bugaboo Stamps characters, Gus & Stella! This is the 

Stella & Gus - Deck of Cards image. I just love the sentiment for this! Even hubby was laughing hard when he read it. (Little did he know....this one's coming his way! Haha! We've been together quite some time, can you tell?! hehehe)

I actually broke the sentiment into two parts (digitally speaking), so that I could use part of it on the outside of the card, and the rest inside. I don't normally finish the inside of my cards, but for this one, I did.

I blinged up the front of this card using some Glossy Accents on both characters glasses. I also added some Stickles, Star Dust, to the poker chips. For the border, I used two Silhouette cuts (Scallop Border Big and Playing Card Suits - Set of 4) to create the border, then filled in the suit cut-outs with some Stickles, Black Diamond and Xmas Red. I used the cut-out Spade and Club on the inside of my card. 

My designer paper is Stampin' Up, Jackpot II. I own the digital files, and printed them out on card stock for my card. I used my Stampin' Up Scallop Border Punch and some ribbon for additional touches.

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!

I love Saturday blogging - there are always so many great challenges and creations in blogland on the weekends, and today is no exception; in fact, today is a new challenge day at Catch the Bug Blog, featuring all kinds of sweet Bugaboo Stamps images! I have a close couple-friend that has been together since early high school years. They've been through good times and bad times,  raised two kids, built their careers........all while keeping a great sense of humor (usually! lol!). Their wedding anniversary was just in May, so I sent them out this super-simple, super-quick card using the Bugaboo Stamps, Stella Love - Person to Annoy image. This sentiment is right up their funny-bone alley!

I know you're probably wondering what's up with my post title....the part about "is it done, yet??!". Well......I'm sure once you look at my card photo you will notice it is awfully plain!!

Where are my brads, or flowers.....not even a little bit of glaze or glitter?! Nope.......this one's as simple as they come, folks! Sometimes you just have to let the image do the talking, right?! :)

(Speaking of, I did take some liberties with the sentiment, removing the part that is in first person.)

It's an Oldie But Goodie (OBG) at Catch the Bug!

Hi, everyone!

Thursday's are Oldie But Goodie Days at Catch the Bug Blog! 

Our  ten-year anniversary has just passed, and I made my hubby a card for every year we've been married. :0) This is a funny one (some are more mooshy-gooshy - hehehe).  Hubby and I watch a lot of programs on the History Channel and Syfy, so we have seen an abundance of the "End of the World" type programs lately, due to the Mayan calendar ending on Dec. 21, 2012. We like to make jokes about it, so the inside of this card reads "....or until December 21, 2012!" Lol!

The card is made using my Nesties, Fleur de lis Squares and Classic Circles dies. The image is a Bugaboo Stamps OBG (Oldie But Goodie), and it is called Stella Love - Person to Annoy. 

I used a great bg paper that I rec;d from a recent paper swap with my fellow Bugaboo DT members, so you may have seen that one before! lol! My inspiration for this card came from Kittie Kraft. She has a fantastic blog, loaded with some great ideas for cards using oodles of different dies and punches, my favorite things! I have a feeling you will be seeing more Kittie Kraft inspired cards on my blog, as I am in love with so many of hers!

My papers are all from the DCW Linen Stack. I thought they worked well for this challenge!
