Sharing the Magic!

Hi, everyone!
Thursday's are Oldie But Goodie Days at Catch the Bug Blog
I love OBG day because I can break out some of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps to play with, and have an excuse to show them on my blog! lol! (As if I need an excuse, right?!)

Today I am using the Fairy Christmas from Bugaboo Stamps.  I think this image is simply beautiful. I am not very skilled at coloring in "people" images....cutesie stuff, okay, but not people that are supposed to look like "people"......so, I challenged myself to work with this image for todays 'oldie but goodie' theme. She took me a long time to color in PSE, but I am happy with the result (she looks much better digitally, I swear! lol! Printing always takes away detail from digital coloring, at least for me.)

I wanted to use some non-traditional colors, so I went with the pinks and purples for the fairy. I brought the green into the card by matching up a Graphic 45 dp scrap to her wing colors. I used my Simon Says Stamp A2 Curved Edge die for the image and purple layer. I pulled out my Cheery Lynn Holly Flourish die for the leafy embellish.  The sentiment is a CTMH stamp that I digitized, printed and cut out with a Spellbinders Classic Squares, Small die. I used a Stampin Up corner punch on it, and then popped it up with some foam dots. For a bit of bling (which is hard to see in the photo), I added some Stickles, Crystal glitter glue here and there on the image.

That's it! She's ready to be mailed for the holiday season, I think!
Thanks for stopping by!

An OBG - Poor Little Doggie!

Today I am using the Critter Balloons Dog from Bugaboo Stamps.  This is one of my all-time favorite Bugaboo images! I think he was one of the reasons I fell in love with Jodie's images "way-back-when". With that said, I'm not certain I've ever actually put color to him before! Good grief......I'm a terrible 'collector' of all things cute! lol!

This is a CAS, clean and simple, card. I grabbed a piece of Echo Park paper from my scrap box. I was happy that it was already cut to the size I wanted! Woohoo! Bonus! :) I love this paper for this image. It seems like this poor little pup could have been wandering through that park, found a balloon, and with one swift gust of wind.....well, you know! I layered the dp on a solid color, then added a few punched cloud shapes. My image was colored in PSE, then cut with my Silhouette. He's popped up on pop-dots (sounds like a drug addiction, doesn't it?! lol!). My sentiment is printed in PSE, then punched with a circle punch and trimmed to fit where I wanted it.

One more thing before I wrap this up....be on the lookout for the upcoming Bugaboo Christmas in July Week Long Celebration! It's right around the corner! This is always a favorite, with lots of FREE images given away for participating in our challenges that week! I'll have more details on that as the date draws nearer.

Also, I am now assisting the DT Coordinator with some of the more routine things at Catch the Bug Blog to fill in some time for our wonderful Ms. Min, who is expecting Baby #1, and is happily preparing for the arrival! I'm helping out with some posting duties, and I'm also helping out by choosing a Bugaboo Stamps Fan of the Month! So......if you're a fan of Bugaboo Stamps (and who isn't, right?!), make sure you're posting your Bugaboo cards on your blog because I'm poking around Blog-land looking for YOU! :)

Time for an Oldie But Goodie!

Today I am using the AKV Smell the Flowers from Bugaboo Stamps.  I paired her with a Fiskars sentiment stamp from their Lasting Love 8x8 Set.

This is a CAS, clean and simple, card. I have been making a TON of CAS cards, as you may have noticed. I'm still trying to diminsih my scrap paper piles, and it's harder to find matching pieces, so fewer, simpler card layouts have been my norm, and probably will be for quite aome time. I do still love making my little die-cut scenes, but those haven't been accompanying my digis, so.......for another time!

Anyhow, I grabbed a strip  of polka-dot and a strip of leftover stripes that matched well for this one. I added some Stickles Star Dust to the hearts, layered it all on a piece of scrap card stock, and there you have it!

Not Everyone Can Be A Princess.....An Oldie but Goodie at Catch the Bug

Hi, everyone!

I love OBG day because I can break out some of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps to play with, and have an excuse to show them on my blog! lol! (As if I need an excuse, right?!)

Today I am using the Not Everyone Can Be a Princess from Bugaboo Stamps.  I have a friend that I can hear this statement coming out of her mouth! lol! No, no....she's not at all self-centered or conceited! She just uses phrases like this at "just the right moment" to crack us all up! lol!

I printed up my image and sentiment in PSE. I grabbed some scraps out of my box and used my Spellbinders On the Edge Borders on them. My sentiment ispunched with my Stampin' Up Scalloped Square punch. I added a piece of ribbon and an old K&Company rhinestone flower to complete the card.

That's it from me today! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Just Because.....An Oldie But Goodie

Hi, everyone!
Thursday's are Oldie But Goodie Days at Catch the Bug Blog
I love OBG day because I can break out some of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps to play with, and have an excuse to show them on my blog! lol! (As if I need an excuse, right?!)

Today I am using the Cute Butterfly from Bugaboo Stamps.  I think this little guy is absolutely adorable, and wanted to create a card for my stash with him. I like making plenty of "Just Because" cards to keep on hand for when I want to jot a note to a friend, drop it in the mail, and provide them with a smile. :)

I printed up my image and sentiment in PSE. I didn't use any dies or cut files in this card, keeping everything quick, clean and simple. The tiny baner was handcut from a scrap of the striped paper that I used on the bottom of the card, and I used a K&Company rhinestone flower that I've had in my stash.

That's it from me today! I hope you enjoy your weekend!

An Oldie But Goodie, You're Out of this World!

It's time for an Oldie But Goodie over at Catch the Bug Blog! The fantastic, uber-talented DT have all kinds of great inspiration over there, so please stop over for some eye-candy, and to show the teamies that their hard work is appreciated by leaving them a little bit of love! :)

Anyhow, my image is called Out of this World Block.I had digitally removed the frame around the image. I grabbed a piece of leftover CTMH paper, from a pack called You Rock!, for this one. I added some Stickles Star Dust to the martian's helmet, and to the asteroid belt around the planet. The dangling stars, the stars of the image, and the little dots on the image are all glazed with Glossy Accents. The swirly die-cut was cut out with my Silhouette, and the stars were the negative from my EK Success Starry Nigh Corner Punch
