Some Peeper Pleasantries to Motivate Mr. Mojo....aka A Photo Challenge!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today!

This week's theme is a
Photo Inspiration
(See picture toward the bottom of my post)
It's nice to have some visual inspiration, sometimes! You can choose to use the colors, the theme of the photo, or go off on a tangent because of some emotion a photo touches within your soul....however this picture inspires you, we want to see it in your project!

Now....most of us automatically think of Thanksgiving when we look at that photo, right?! And then our brains trigger the saliva glands, and we start to think about the delicious food that will be served up as our family gathers around the table.......wait...."family"!?! Oh....right!....they'll be there, too!
Sooooo......with that in mind.....here's what I came up with for todays card!
Hehehe!

This card uses the Frame It -Red Wine image from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored it in with PSE, then added some Stickles Star Dust glitter glue to emulate bubbles in the glass, as if it were just poured (thank you, may I have another?! lol!). I used some pretty papers and metal corner brads to finish this silly card.

Now it's your turn to pick a favorite image, or try something new from Bugaboo Stamps, whip up your project and head on over to enter it into the Mr. Linky!

By entering your project, you could win up to TEN Bugaboo images!
Head on over to Catch the Bug to play along!

Happy Crafting!

Whipping Up Some Cuties with a Catch the Bug Recipe Challenge!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today!

At Catch the Bug we are having a
Recipe Challenge
this week we want you to throw in
One Circle
and to spice things up a bit, please add
Three Brads!

I chose the ever-snarky Stella for my card. This is one of the more recent additions to the
Bugaboo Stamps Store, Stella - Men Are Like Fine Wine. I left off the sentiment that Jodie includes with this image. While I absolutely love it, I wanted to wait until this is ready to be sent before adding anything. I may keep it simple, like "Cheers to You!" or maybe "A Toast to Greatness!".  The included digi sentiment is absolutely hysterical, a "must see", so please click the image link I've provided to go check it out in the store! I promise you.......it's one you'll laugh hard at, then put in your cart!!
There are a ton more digital images in store that you can use, as well - just follow me over to Bugaboo Stamps to check them out!

Freebie SVG & Stella Says Sketch 105 at Catch the Bug!

Hi, everyone!

It's a Sunday.....and "every other" Catch the Bug  hosts a
Stella Says Sketch Challenge!
I love sketches! They make putting together a card much quicker for me, as I probably spend most of my time deciding on a sketch for my images! :0) The sketch today is actually one that I had put together for this challenge. :0) "Go, me!", right?! lol!

I had originally come up with this sketch when I created a birthday card, which you can see here. I actually took a few liberties today........I kept the bow off this card, and there are a few other small variances. I had to consider image size, embellish size, etc.....but that's okay! :0) We want you to be inspired by a sketch and make it your own, so if you have to flip it, mirror it, or make small changes to it - no problem-o! Just make sure you post your finished card with Mr. Linky when you're done creating so you don't miss the chance to win some Bugaboo images! You can win two, four or even seven! :0)

These SVG files are no longer available for free.
Please visit my SVG's for Sale Page located at the top of this blog.

This card uses Scarlette Cafe by Bugaboo Stamps. I created the wine bottle svg (a freebie for you!) and hand wrote the "Cheers to You" label as a sentiment. This card actually has a destination.......one of my bff's from waaaaay back (I'm talking jr high) is a lawyer, and recently was featured in a Statewide Publication as "An Up and Coming"! Woohooo! She is awesome! :0)
Anyhow, I did some sponging around my image to lessen the stark white paper, and try to match it better to my bg papers, which are a new purchase for me (aren't they pretty?! I just love the colors!).
My ribbon was white, too, and I ran my sponge dauber over it to try to muddy it up a bit, too. It did okay, but I think maybe a little more would have been better. The ribbon is a silk, so it just wasn't holding the ink very well.

That's it from me today! Thanks for stopping by.........please stay a while longer, and browse! :0) If you like what I do, why not consider following me? ========== > >
