My Bingo Blunder

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! We are hosting our monthly B-I-N-G-O Card Challenge!

Without further ado , here is this weeks Catch the Bug
Bingo Card:

Isn't this BINGO Card the coolest?! So many choices!
You may choose three squares: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal!

I had a little blunder when making this card: I had planned on using the the middle row of squares: Border Punch, Bling and No DP.....well, I had my card all done, and decided it needed a "little something extra", so I added my two banners. Oops! Now there's dp! lol! That's what I get for not double checking my board before making a change, right?! Well, I was fortunate that my card still qualified as a BINGO by using the middle column: Stripes, Bling and Bugaboo Image. Woohoo! Saved! lol!

My card features the Bugaboo Stamps AKV Girl Celebrate image. I used an EK Success Border Punch, Starry Night. I punched white card stock with the edger, then I punched some red and blue card stock to use the stars. I pushed them back into the respective negative in the border. I used some tiny rhinestones on my stars for bling, as well as some Stickles Star Dust on my image. My frames were cut with my Silhouette Portrait, and my banners I hand cut from some scrap.

So, let's see your card this week! Pick your BINGO daubs (you can go horizontal, vertical or diagonal), whip up your project and head on over to enter it into the Mr. Linky!
By entering your project, you could win up to TEN Bugaboo images!
Head on over to Catch the Bug to play along!

One more thing before I wrap this up....
I am now assisting the DT Coordinator with some of the more routine things at Catch the Bug Blog to fill in some time for our wonderful Ms. Min, who is expecting Baby #1, and is happily preparing for the arrival! I'm helping out with some posting duties, and I'm also helping out by choosing a Bugaboo Stamps Fan of the Month! So......if you're a fan of Bugaboo Stamps (and who isn't, right?!), make sure you're posting your Bugaboo cards on your blog because I'm poking around Blog-land looking for YOU! :)

Happy Crafting!

Humor Me Wednesday at catch the Bug

Hi, everyone!
We all know about holidays through the year such as Valentine's Day, Easter, July 4th and Christmas, but what about those oft-forgotten, completely crazy head-scratcher holidays that are rarely heard of, and often laughable?! Well.........at Catch the Bug we will be highlighting some of the whacky holidays each week with some great projects and cards to depict them! We're calling it
Humor Me Wednesday!
We hope you will join us in the fun each week: take a peek at some of the different days by visiting the talented DT members for Bugaboo Stamps for some inspiration. Most holidays are just belly-busters, while others are just plain fun! :0) We are choosing holidays from each week for the Humor Me Wednesday creations, so we aren't all covering the same one. We're hoping this offers you that much more inspiration and fun! :0)

For my card today, I chose to use the July 7 holiday: Chocolate Day. Some other more humorous holidays this week are happening on July 10 is Teddy Bear Picnic Day; July 11 is Cheer Up the Lonely Day, and  , are you ready for this?! The entire week, July 7-13, is Nude Recreation Week! lol! (I really did try to come up with a card idea for that, but I fell short on ideas. lol! THAT would have been a really big HAHA for Wednesday!).

Today I used the Kitchen Ginger - Chocolate Chip  image from Bugaboo Stamps. I kept him clean and simple. I used some of my stashed-away DCWV papers. I have a TON of these. I think I don't pull them out much because they are a card stock, and layering them makes for quite a thick, heavy card........literally. Today, I made sure to cut each of my pieces to avoid layering them. I am much happier with it this way, and will try to remember to do this more in the future with these papers. :)
There is a lot of glitter on the papers, so I didn't do any additional Stickles or glaze this time (seems I'm on a roll with that glaze, lately! lol!). The sentiment is one that I altered from a coffee sentiment that I've seen on store plaques and wall art (usually it reads, "With enough coffee I can rule the world", or with enough "caffeine"....something along those lines).

You can pick up this great image for your project over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store; you can hop on over to Catch the Bug Blog to see more fun
Humor Me Wednesday creations, as well as our other weekly goings-on. Please visit the other DT members blogs and leave them some love -  you will see some new faces over there, and we all love to know what you think of our efforts. :0)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I LOVE penguins, and Jodie's Birthday Penguin - Balloon image is no exception!
You can see I forewent the bow from the sketch - I thought it looked out of place with my glittery flourishes, but I did keep the ribbon! (Points for that?! lol!)

Here's the sketch to follow, so be sure to play along! :0)

Freebie SVG & Stella Says Sketch 105 at Catch the Bug!

Hi, everyone!

It's a Sunday.....and "every other" Catch the Bug  hosts a
Stella Says Sketch Challenge!
I love sketches! They make putting together a card much quicker for me, as I probably spend most of my time deciding on a sketch for my images! :0) The sketch today is actually one that I had put together for this challenge. :0) "Go, me!", right?! lol!

I had originally come up with this sketch when I created a birthday card, which you can see here. I actually took a few liberties today........I kept the bow off this card, and there are a few other small variances. I had to consider image size, embellish size, etc.....but that's okay! :0) We want you to be inspired by a sketch and make it your own, so if you have to flip it, mirror it, or make small changes to it - no problem-o! Just make sure you post your finished card with Mr. Linky when you're done creating so you don't miss the chance to win some Bugaboo images! You can win two, four or even seven! :0)

These SVG files are no longer available for free.
Please visit my SVG's for Sale Page located at the top of this blog.

This card uses Scarlette Cafe by Bugaboo Stamps. I created the wine bottle svg (a freebie for you!) and hand wrote the "Cheers to You" label as a sentiment. This card actually has a destination.......one of my bff's from waaaaay back (I'm talking jr high) is a lawyer, and recently was featured in a Statewide Publication as "An Up and Coming"! Woohooo! She is awesome! :0)
Anyhow, I did some sponging around my image to lessen the stark white paper, and try to match it better to my bg papers, which are a new purchase for me (aren't they pretty?! I just love the colors!).
My ribbon was white, too, and I ran my sponge dauber over it to try to muddy it up a bit, too. It did okay, but I think maybe a little more would have been better. The ribbon is a silk, so it just wasn't holding the ink very well.

That's it from me today! Thanks for stopping by.........please stay a while longer, and browse! :0) If you like what I do, why not consider following me? ========== > >

Bugaboo Sponsors Creative Craft Challenges

Hi, everyone!
This is my second post today, so please scroll down for my first post, too! :0)

Bugaboo's Stella is on the move again, today!
She's headed over to  Creative Craft Challenges to sponsor their
New Years Celebration!
They post a new challenge every Tuesday, and this week you have a chance to win some
Bugaboo Stamps! Follow her over to enter your project!

I hope you have enjoyed your recent holidays! I always feel like the amount of prep time we put into ours just doesn't seem to have the "big bang" outcome we expect. lol! Terrible, I know.....
I do think it's important that we celebrate every moment we can....because that's what life is about -moments! :0)
This hot mama is Margaret! She's one of Jodie's Calendar Months images, and I think she is lovin' being out on the town in her blingy dress! Va-Va-Voom, right?! lol!
I used some new Sizzlit dies and my new Big Kick machine to cut the sentiment, balloons and Spellbinder ovals. Lots of Stickles were added for the bling, and I used an EK Success border punch for the stars. My papers are DCWV from the old Celebrations stack.

That's it from me today! Thanks for stopping by.........please stay a while longer, and browse! :0) If you like what I do, why not consider following me? ========== > >
