Hi, everyone! Happy Friday!
I have been very busy this week, moving my craft room to a different part of the house, as well as moving my son to another room, and my hubby's hobby room, too. It's been a tough, physical week, as it included not only furniture moving, but rug scrubbing, as well. I had hoped for a little more help from my boys than I received, but.....nope! They just weren't interested! Such brats....lol!
Anyhow, I have been waiting for my new set-up to be craft-ready to put together another page layout for my niece's book. I'm very happy to show you this one - I broke some of my own "rules". lol! I used stickers!!! Can you believe it?! lol! I tried to redeem myself by sewing on this layout, too. I was so in love with the base papers when I saw them that I could not layer more papers on them, or cut them up; they were just too pretty!
Now....the sticker thing.....well......I was going to cut and piece all kinds of tropical fish, but I figured since I had these pretty K&Company stickers already in my stash.......why not use them?! No sense in keeping them around if there's a good cause for them, right?! So, there you have it....I sort of went "old school" with that decision. lol! You know, as in pre-cutting machine "old school"?! lol!

Below are some closer pics of the pages on their own, as well as a close up of my title, and the sewn mat that I made.
I think the pages can be used for either beach, pool or bath tub pics. :)

Punch - Fiskars; Washed Ashore
K&Company Stickers

Title Font - Ballpark Wiener
Thanks for stopping by!
This project has been entered into the following challenges:
Creative Creations - Things with the Letter 'B' (Bubbles, Blue)
I think it turned out marvelous....stickers, bubbles and all and you know I love the stitching. Stickers today aren't what we had years ago....a huge step up and upgrade so I wouldn't think twice using stickers this day and age if I found the ones I needed. You niece will be a wet lucky swimming duck.

ReplyDeleteI love your pages. I agree with Cely, stickers are so much better than they used to be. I have used them on lots of cards and got nice compliments on them so I think most people like them.
You and Cely have become scrappin groupies...so much fun...went to a convention today and bought....stickers LOL!!!
