A "Purr-fect" Andy Bauer DigiStreet image!

Hi, everyone!
Sorry I do not have a freebie svg for you today. :0( I promise.......I am working on one, and it's almost done, so check back with me this week, again, as it is something you won't want to miss! :0)
In the meantime, I worked on some digital coloring in PSE on an Andy Bauer image. You can check out Andy's awesome digi's in his store, The Digi Street, or on his blog, Art by Andy Bauer. He's an amazing cartoon style artist, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with for Halloween (my favorite holiday! I've seen a few of his creative Halloween endeavors, and LOVE his style!
Anyhow, here is an image he had given away a while back.....now it is for sale in his store, and super affordable, so go grab your own! :0)
As I mentioned, the image is colored in PSE. I used a bunch of my scrap designer papers for the layers, and piece of ribbon I've had in my stash for eons. The sentiment shapes are from my SU and Ek Success punches, and the edge punch is a new EK Success punch I bought last week (had a little splurge! lol!).
Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to come back later this week for a free summertime svg!

In a hurry?

I know I have been so swamped lately, that I have not had time to make anything! So, a quick tip (in case you're not already familiar with this idea) for when you have to make a card "right now" for something: use a pre-colored digi! Andy Bauer, artist at The Digi Street, has some great digistamps, and he offers them as black & whites, and as a pre-colored image! Well, today I needed a thank you card, and had not a single one in my box! So, I used one of his freebies (last weeks, but he has a new one posted this week, so check it out!) to put together this card.

I liked the colors Andy had chosen for this, so I used my PSE to create the bg paper. I printed it, and then the large version of the pre-colored paper. For the big sundae, I colored over the image with similar colors of gel pens. I added some Stickles to the cherry, cut it out and applied it to the card with some pop dots. I hand wrote the sentiment, and attached it to the card with ribbon. The bottom border was run through my Cuttlebug and I used a punch for the scallops. This card took me approximately 10 minutes to make - quick and easy!
So, be sure to jump over to Andy's blog and store! He has a ton of awesome stuff to help you out of a crunch, too! :0)
Happy weekend, and happy crafting, everyone!

Not so crafty.....

I have not been feeling very crafty, lately! I'm in a serious craft-mojo rut! I've managed to eek out a few svg's, but haven't seemed to be in the mode to bust into the paper piles! I have been away from home for six days, leaving the hubby on house-patrol, and now I am in the "what do I do now?" phase of unpacking my bags. (They are still waiting for me near the door.......hmmmmm......) I cleared my craft table thinking it would help me get motivated to messy it up again, but so far....no luck. :(
Anyhow, I had gone to visit my son at school, where I had to play "discipline parent" and go through the teacher conferences. It took threatening to move into the barracks with him and spend the last three weeks in his classes with him, but he is now caught up on his work, and doing better.  Amazing what the embarrassment of having your mom with you in class can do!!
While I was away,  my wonderful hubby bought some mushroom soil for my flower beds that we are prepping for some new plants. When he spread it on the ground a huge flurry of butterflies showed up to check it out! He snapped a few pictures with my camera, and here's one of them

He said there were probably two dozen butterflies on the ground at the same time, and this is just one area where he captured them with the camera. Aren't they pretty??
Okay - that's all from me. I was working on a simple card, using a DigiStreet Freebie : I will post it once I am finished (assuming I keep moving forward and don't sit down and fall asleep! hahaha! Being the mean mom is exhausting!). DigiStreet is Andy Bauer's new digital store! Be sure to check him out, as he is an amazing artist!!
I'll also be back next Wednesday (if not sooner) with another free svg file - Wednesdays seem to work out well for a posting schedule for my freebies for me, don't you think??

One of a Kind

Hi, everyone!
I hope you're all having a good Monday! I am! The sun finally peeked out from behind all the clouds we've had for over a week! I woke up to hear the birds singing, and there were some robins on the lawn searching for some worms, so I had a great morning! Clouds are rolling back in, and I'm sure there is a storm on the way as I have a headache coming on, but I loved the sunshine this morning - it made me feel productive and creative!
I put together this card today. It uses another image by Andy Bauer. You can pick it up on his freebies page on his blog, HERE.
I colored everything in PSE. I kept the layout simple because of the image composition. I didn't want to add more pattern, for fear of making it hard to look at from the business! I did add some Stickles to the eyelids, and some Liquid Applique, that I heated with my Heat Tool, for the tail. I love that it puffs up! The sentiment is punched with Stampin' Up punches. The papers are from my newly-purchased Cafe' Mediterranean pack, by DCWV.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to enter to win my Blog Candy, if you haven't already!
