Stamping Dragon goes Girly! :0)

Hi, everyone!
I back on my love of the dragons from Stamping Dragon Designs for my post today. I've created this card  using the Penny Dragon with Bag image from the store! I also used the Mustard Seed 12x12 Digipapers for all my papers!

I colored her with my PSE. I used some of my Nesties dies for the oval layers, and an EK Success Border Punch called Parisian for the border. My butterfly is an EK Success layer punch: I've only used two of the three layer punches on this card. I added a few silver mini-pearls as accents.

Please visit the Stamping Dragon Designs store to pickup this image, a few sentiments for yourself, and this great digipaper to print out, and be sure to check out all the other great items!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to stop over at the store to see all the available Stampin' Dragon Designs images and digital papers, and be sure to check out the rest of the highlights on my fellow DT's blogs for more great inspiration! Stamping Dragon Designs Digi Stamps to Digi Paper

Hi, everyone!
I thought I'd switch things up a bit with my Stamping Dragon Designs post today. I've created some digipapers using the Sewing Stamp Pack from the store!

The bottom two squares use the digi-papers I made. I added a Sizzix Sizzlit sewing machine die cut as my focal point, some Sizzix Sizzlits corner accents, and a little bit of gel pen work, which I wasn't thrilled with, but since it's not erasable.....there it is! lol!

Please visit the Stamping Dragon Designs store to pickup your Lighthouse Pyramage!

It's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps!

Hi, everyone!
It's Friday, and that means that Jodie has a new Freebie Friday image posted over at Bugaboo Stamps! She's done it again.....another great image! She's amazing, I tell you! This weeks freebie is from her "A Kid's View" line of images, called AKV Boxing, and below is my card. You can always go check out the other super-fantastic "stuffs" that the rest of the Bugaboo team came up with by clicking on their links in the blog roll in the right sidebar ================ >>

I used some of my old SCWV "All About Boys" paper as the base for this card. I colored my image in PSE, printed him and then added some shadowing with my SU markers in various places.  The sentiment is something I made in PSE. I've been on a kick with making encouragment/congratulations cards the past few days, and thought this sentiment worked nicely for the image. :0) My boxing gloves were created by coloring in some line art I found online, then printing and cutting with my new Cameo. (Yep! I have a new Cameo AND a new eClips! Crazy, I know!) I added some paper glaze to the gloves to try to make them look like leather. I think they turned out okay, what do you think??

Make sure you hurry over to the store to pick up the free digi-stamp, as it's only available for a limited time as a freebie! While you're there, don't miss the 50% OFF SALE that Jodie has posted...time is running out on for you to pick up some super sweet Bugaboo images at  super sweet price!

It's an Oldie but Goodie Day at Bugaboo!

Hi, everyone!
It's Thursday.......time for a Bugaboo Stamps Oldie But Goodie day, otherwise known as OBG! I love OBG Day.....it pushes me to go back into my files of Bugaboo and use one of them AGAIN! The images that Jodie creates for her Bugaboo Stamps store are too darling to not bring out to play, don't you agree??

For my card image this week, I chose to use Bobblehead Thanksgiving Scarecrow. I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of the Bobblehead images when I first saw them, but the Bugaboo DT was doing such wonderful things with them that I knew I had to give them a chance! I am so glad I did - I am IN LOVE! lol! Check out the rest of the Bobblehead images at the Bugaboo Store here.
Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure to check out the other OBG creations over at Catch the Bug, and visit the Design Team....you can click on their blog links located in the right side bar of my blog for great Bugaboo eye candy! ===========>>

Fall is in the air - Cuttin' Up with Class Challenge #3

Hi, everyone!
It's been a busy past week: surgery for my husband on Friday, so we spent the weekend "quiet", and I have been dealing with fall allergies and icky RA issues this past week. I was happy to finish working on today's Cuttin' Up with Class Challenge! :0)
Today, Jani is giving away some great Fall Leaves SVG cutting files! Please visit the Cuttin' Up with Class Challenge Blog to download the FREEBIE, and don't forget to enter your project using the leaves for a chance to win more FREE SVG's from her! :0)
For this card, I used two of her Oak Leaf files. She also has some Maple Leaf files in the download, too.
This photo shows the card from the front, open and standing. When the card is closed, it measures approximately 5" square.
This card uses svg's called
Fall Step Card
&
3D Flower Collection
These SVG files are no longer available for free.
Please visit my SVG's for Sale Page located at the top of this blog.

My papers are by Imaginesce, from a collection called Apple Cider. The 3D Flower that I used is from my 3D Flowers Collection, which you can find in My Etsy Shop.
The card base is something I created, and is also an available SVG for sale in My Etsy Shop, along with some other great step cards for the season! :0) It includes the cad base, designer paper layers for the side of the steps, the letters and layers, the step "trim", the digi sentiment, sized to fit the card as shown, and it's base layer. The leaves, acorns and flower are not part of the card file on Etsy: the leaves are Jani's (available for a limited time on the Cuttin' Up With Class Challenge Blog), and the acorns are cut from the SCAL basic shapes library.

This photo shows the card "steps" more clearly. There are three layers to the letters: the card base, a layer of red, and the letters.

I did some inking on the edges of my sentiment layer, the leaves, the acorns (which are cut from the SCAL basic shapes library), and the 3D Flower. I also did some embossing, and then inked, the stair "trim". A little bit of bling, in the form of a rhinestone brad, finished off the card for me.

So, that's it from me for today, folks! I'm still beat from my weekend, and trying to catch up on some rest, as I am headed on a road trip this coming weekend - my baby sis is having her first baby, Mikayla Paije, on Thursday! Yippeee.....I will be an auntie! :0) Road trips are always tough for me and my achey bones, but I am really looking forward to this one! :0)

Hope to see you all in the challenge entries! I love to come around and visit your blogs when you link up! Until then, happy crafting! :0)

Spook-takular! ...and a free sentiment

Hi, everyone! I am so excited it is October.....and Halloween is right around the corner! Yay! Halloween is my favorite holiday to craft for, and today I have a wonderful Stamping Dragon Designs image to showcase, called Spooks!
(Click the Image to Enlarge)
These three darling Spooks were part of last months Grab Bag, but now you can purchase them in-store HERE, along with the other great items that Stamping Dragon Designs has to offer! (All three Spooks cuties are in the file together). :0)

I was inspired by my cyber-bff, Cely's, creation (click here to see for yourself just how inspirational it was! hehehe). I cut the film strip from SVGCuts.com Summer Blockbuster Collection (no, no....I didn't actually make my own this time! lol!). I did some shading on my "star" ghost using my Stampin' Up Markers (I don't have any grey Copics, yet. Boohoo!). My circles are cut using Spellbinders Nesties, and my Bat Chain and Drippy Goo edges are punches. I added some black brads from my stash, and adhered a new Halloween ribbon that I recently picked up at JoAnn (on sale, of course!). The sentiment is punched and layered using some SU punches. The sentiment, itself, is your freebie today. The file contains the sentiment as a jpg, both in color and as a black and white image. :0)

A Berry Sweet freebie and a Mo Manning card

Hi, everyone!
I am practicing coloring with my new Copics, and I just adore my new Mo Manning images that I purchased at her online store, Mo's Digital Pencil, so I printed up this cutie to work on.
(Click the Photo to Enlarge)

She is one of my newfound loves, Mo's fruit girls! I think I have them all, now, but I have to keep checking back on Mo's store site, as she has been adding some more recently! lol! This is Strawberry Girl.
I colored her in with my Copics. I wanted to make her a strawberry blonde - do you think her hair color is okay?? I had looked up all kinds of reference charts for hair coloring with Copics, and wouldn't it figure that I do not have any "complete" color combos mentioned for hair?! lol! Yep.....had to make up my own!
I recently received a couple of other new "toys" for my crafting: a Xyron 250 machine, which I LOVE!, and a new Spellbinders Die called "Fresh Fruit Border Petites". I used the strawberry border die. I punched out a red paper border, and then I punched a green paper border. I hand trimmed the berries off the green border and glued the two together. I added some inking and some gel pen detail to both layers.
I have seen several talented ladies use a technique that I wanted to try, die-cutting with Nesties, leaving part of the image outside the Nestie shape. I found a great tutorial on Jak Heath's blog (she calls this technique "Overhang with Nesties"), and I followed it to cut out my colored image. I probably could have used one die size smaller, but I was a little nervous! lol! I spent two days working on coloring my girl and didn't want to mess her up! lol!
Anyhow, that is my creative adventure for today. I now have the task of cleaning up my huge mess that I have made: it was a whirlwind, fun craft day, so there are things "everywhere"!! lol!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Crafting!

Oh.........I almost forgot! The sentiment on my card is something I created. I saved it, thinking I may want to use it again later. Maybe you can use it, too? It is in .png and .jpg format in the download, and it is in color (the sentiment includes the colored strawberry). I have it sized to print and fit inside the Stampin' Up Oval punch.

Please leave some love if you enjoy my freebies! I love to hear from you! :) This is how I know you were here, like what you see, and would like to see more! If you're not already, consider becoming a follower so you can be informed of new free svg posts each week! :0)

In a hurry?

I know I have been so swamped lately, that I have not had time to make anything! So, a quick tip (in case you're not already familiar with this idea) for when you have to make a card "right now" for something: use a pre-colored digi! Andy Bauer, artist at The Digi Street, has some great digistamps, and he offers them as black & whites, and as a pre-colored image! Well, today I needed a thank you card, and had not a single one in my box! So, I used one of his freebies (last weeks, but he has a new one posted this week, so check it out!) to put together this card.
I liked the colors Andy had chosen for this, so I used my PSE to create the bg paper. I printed it, and then the large version of the pre-colored paper. For the big sundae, I colored over the image with similar colors of gel pens. I added some Stickles to the cherry, cut it out and applied it to the card with some pop dots. I hand wrote the sentiment, and attached it to the card with ribbon. The bottom border was run through my Cuttlebug and I used a punch for the scallops. This card took me approximately 10 minutes to make - quick and easy!
So, be sure to jump over to Andy's blog and store! He has a ton of awesome stuff to help you out of a crunch, too! :0)
Happy weekend, and happy crafting, everyone!

Playing with PSE

Hello!
I have spent the better part of my day playing around with my PSE! I learned how to create my own color swatch file, so I made a file with all of the Copic Marker colors....which I am too cheap (aka "poor") to buy! I was so thrilled when I figured it out!! Once I finished that, I played around by coloring in one of the recent Bugaboo Stamps freebie images with the colors. It looks awesome on the screen, but when printed, the printer ink does not pick up some of the color depth. It still looks good, but not as good as I'd hoped (hey.....a girl can dream, right?!). lol!
Anyhow, here is what I colored
I can't take credit for the colors used because I copied Jami from Stamp Happy! (she's part of Bugaboo's design team, and I looooove her work!!) I love that she shows what colors she uses - it helps me - I'm a color dunce sometimes! I am working really hard at shading, so I played around with the gradients and angles more today than normal. I learned a few things (all "by accident! lol!), and had so much fun! I'm going to be putting this on a card, but won't have time tonight, so I'll post that then.
Have a great rest-of-your-day! Happy Crafting!
