Freebie Friday - Two Styles, One Card

It's Friday.......time for a Bugaboo Stamps Freebie!
It can be picked up in the store for FREE, but only for a limited time! Be sure to check out the other fun images that Jodie has to offer at Bugaboo Stamps! There's a little something for everyone, and they're all sure to put a smile on someone's face! :)

This image is called Bee Bear Heart String.
I colored him in PSE, then used my Silhouette to Print and Cut. I added some Stickles to his wings. My background paper is stamped using one of my Cuttlebug folders, some Stampin' Up ink, and a mist of water to create the watercolor effect.

My flower stamp is from Stampin' Up Upsy Daisy set, as is the sentiment.
It has been a very, very long time since I have used any of my stamps, but I have been following Karen, at Snippets, for a little while now, and her techniques are so inspiring, I had to try! I know the cutesy image isn't the perfect pairing for the background I created, but it will have to do! :)

Pick this up as a freebie for a limited time only, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!). It's also where you can check out all the other fantastic DT projects, including the OBG (Oldie But Goodie) stuff, the ABC (Anything But a Card) items, and the Tuesday New Releases......plus so much more!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you'll kindly leave a comment, or become a follower. If I know you were here, I can come to visit you, as well.

A Color Challenge at Catch the Bug

Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!
I love Saturday blogging - there are always so many great challenges and creations in blogland on the weekends, and today is no exception; in fact, today is a new challenge day at Catch the Bug Blog, featuring all kinds of sweet Bugaboo Stamps images! Make sure you hop on by to check out all the wonderful DT eye-candy, and we hope you join us for the fun!
This week's theme is a

Color Challenge

Such bright, cheery, spring colors, right?! Well, I have to confess that I was a bit intimidated by this one! I don't normally combine oranges and reds.....they're so tough, don't you think? But.....if I can pull this off, I know you can! :)

I used one of the cute Rainy Day Bears by Bugaboo Stamps, and the clouds are from the Create a Scene Butterfly Spring collection. These have both been around for quite some time, but how perfect for rainy spring weather! This one is called Rainy Day Bear Rain Rain, but because there are several more images in this collection,  be sure to head over to check them all out! I know you're going to want to scoop some up for yourself!

While this looks clean and simple, it actually wasn't as "simple" as I had hoped when I first decided to use the open cut-out card base. It took me some time (like, three hours!), to line the images and sentiments up in the Silhouette Studio Software. I'm glad I made it, though; I saved my file so I can go back and use the card base and front, again, for a later project. :)

Here's an image of the inside of the card, and a closer look at the rain drops (a bit blurry, but I think you can see the detail, regardless).

Now it's your turn to pick a favorite image, or try something new from Bugaboo Stamps, whip up your project and head on over to enter it into the Mr. Linky!

By entering your project, you could win up to TEN Bugaboo images!
Head on over to Catch the Bug to play along!

Pick up this cute Bugaboo image, and others, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!). It's also where you can check out all the other fantastic DT projects, including the OBG (Oldie But Goodie) stuff, the ABC (Anything But a Card) items, and the Tuesday New Releases......plus so much more!

One more thing before I wrap this up....be on the lookout for the upcoming Bugaboo Christmas in July Week Long Celebration! This is always a favorite, with lots of FREE images given away for participating in our challenges that week! I'll have more details on that as the date draws nearer.

Also, I am now assisting the DT Coordinator with some of the more routine things at Catch the Bug Blog to fill in some time for our wonderful Ms. Min, who is expecting Baby #1, and is happily preparing for the arrival! I'm helping out with some posting duties, and I'm also helping out by choosing a Bugaboo Stamps Fan of the Month! So......if you're a fan of Bugaboo Stamps (and who isn't, right?!), make sure you're posting your Bugaboo cards on your blog because I'm poking around Blog-land looking for YOU! :)

Happy Crafting!

BINGO Saturday at Catch the Bug

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! We are hosting our monthly B-I-N-G-O Card Challenge!

Without further ado , here is this weeks Catch the Bug
Bingo Card:

Isn't this BINGO Card the coolest?! So many choices!
You may choose three squares: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal!

I chose to the far left column of requirements for my card this week
(Ribbon, Text Paper for the bg, Scallop).
My card features the Bugaboo Stamps Theodore image. I used my Silhouette Print and Cut for him, after coloring him in PSE. I also used my Silhouette to cut the 'hello' sentiment.
My papers are all from my scrap box. I was lucky to find the pretty hearts and text for this bingo! :) The scallop I used for my Bingo square also counts for my Ribbon square, since it is a scallop printed on the ribbon. The only other element that I added to this card are the photo corners that I punched with an old SU punch.

An Oldie But Goodie (OBG) - Caught a Bug?!

Hi, everyone!
Thursday's are Oldie But Goodie Days at Catch the Bug Blog
I love OBG day because I can break out some of my favorite Bugaboo Stamps to play with, and have an excuse to show them on my blog! lol! (As if I need an excuse, right?!)
Today I am using the Jesse Bear Bug Jar image.  I think Jesse Bear is my favorite Bugaboo Stamps Bear. I just love his oversized hat! It reminds me of when my son was a little guy. He loved wearing hats, and he had one that reads "#1 Son" on it. Of course, the joke is that he's the ONLY son, so that hat was saved, and currently resides in my closet "basket of memories". :) They sure grow up fast, don't they?! Sheesh....time flies!

For my card, i used an old "Stella Says" Sketch. (You can find all kinds of wonderful "Stella Says" Sketches here). This card uses all scraps from my stash. I have been leaving my scrap box out, in a very  easy-to-remember space, so that I will try to go to it before digging into my uncut 12" papers. I actually have four scrap boxes! They are photo boxes, and I sort my scraps as I'm crafting: designer paper scraps, Stampin Up scraps, American Crafts scraps and an "everything else" scrap box. So far, leaving them on my table top is helping me to use them up faster!
I pulled out my Stampin Up Photo Corner Punch and Scallop Border Punch. I also used some Ladybug Buttons that I cut the shanks from before adhering with Glossy Accents. I am leaving the front with no sentiment for now. I was thinking this could be a great card for a little boy, or even a "sorry you caught a bug" card for a sickie.

You can check out all the great images that Jodie has to offer, at the Bugaboo Store here.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure to check out the other OBG creations over at Catch the Bug, and visit the Design Team.
