A Sketchy Spring Day

Hello, everyone!
It's a sketchy Spring day, here. It can't seem to make up it's mind if it's going to be cloudy, or sunny. First, we had a forecast of all sun, but now it says it will be partly cloudy all day......I believe that! lol! Anyhow, here's a sketch that I used to create a Spring card to try to keep the gloomy grays out of my head.

This is Sketch No.#60 that I found at From the Heart Stamps Blog.
Here's the cool thing about their sketch challenges: EVERYONE IS A WINNER! You can earn a $1 discount code toward any digi image in their store. No, not by being a random winner, but just by entering! And even better, yet.......you can use multiple codes toward purchases in their store! So, if you play three weeks in a row, you can buy a new digi for only $ .50! Play four times in a row, and "buy" a new digi with all four of your codes without spending a dime out of your own pocket! See......I told you that everyone is a winner there! :)

Anyhow, I put this card together today using the image that I had picked up in their store (using my previously earned codes!) for free. :)
This uses the Happy Mail digi.

I hope you're enjoying your day! I appreciate you stopping by, and would love it if you'd leave a comment!

Affairs of the Heart - Just be YOU!

It's Saturday, which means a new challenge over at Catch the Bug today! This week's theme has me using an image I have had in my arsenal for a long time, but had yet to have a reason to put ink on:

This week's theme is
AFFAIRS OF THE HEART!

Material List
Stampin' Up - Card Stock
SVG Heart Border by Me
Dr. Seuss Designer Paper

The paper on this has some beautiful foil hearts; it's always tough for me to pick up the shine on the foil papers in pictures without over-exposing the rest of my photo, so only a few are seen on my pic. I just adore that cute little cat, and didn't want to copy the Cat in the Hat exactly, so he is colored different colors than the one on the dp intentionally. :0)
The sentiment that is on this image is one of my favorite quotes from Dr. Seuss! My son struggles with fitting in, and it is something I try to remind him on a regular basis: just be YOU! With that said, this card is for him. :0)

So, let's see your lovey-dovey, touch-my-heart creation this week! Whip up your project and head on over to Catch the Bugto play along, enter it into the Mr. Linky located at the bottom of the challenge post!
By entering your project, you could win up to TEN Bugaboo images!

Please check out the rest of the Design Team goodies while you're there! These peeps are filled with talent, full of good tips and ideas......and loaded with eye-candy-inspiring ideas! I am so honored to be part of the group!
<=====Their blog links can all be found in my left sidebar! :0)

Pick up this cute Bugaboo image, and others, over at the Bugaboo Stamps Store, and make sure you also jump over to the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog: it's where you can find out all the lastest "dish" on what challenges are happening and what other challenge sites that Bugaboo is sponsoring (more chances to win some free Bugaboo!). It's also where you can check out all the other fantastic DT projects, including the OBG (Oldie But Goodie) stuff, the ABC (Anything But a Card) items, and the Tuesday New Releases......plus so much more!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Seeing Red.....

Hi, everyone!
Fresh Brewed Designs is having a challenge, today ONLY, to use any FBD image on your card, and the color red. I haven't pulled out this image I had picked up as a freebie a while back from their blog, so I colored it up for today. (You can pick this image up in the shop now, AND it's currently on sale! It is called Latte Party). I was so inspired by Heather's card sketch for her DT card for this challenge, that I based my card on it, as well. :0)

I used some dp I had in my stash. These were some individual papers I picked up on sale at JoAnn recently; I LOVE when they put their dp on sale! I always end up walking out of their with a stack (not like I needed it)! The glittery hearts on the balloons are from K & Company. I had them left over from last year - there were a ton on the sticker sheet! I created the sentiment in PhotoShop, and the little rhinestone heart was another sale find, only this time from Michael's. :0)
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you like my quick, red card! :0) I think it needs a Starbucks gift certificate in it for a friend, or something, don't you agree?

A Stamping Dragon layered Print-to-Cut card

Hi, everyone!
I thought I'd switch things up a bit with my Stamping Dragon Designs post today. Normally I create a card with the adorable dragon images that Janette offers, but today I want to show you what I've created using one of the beautiful Decoupage Pages that she has in her store! The cat image I've used on this card is called Purfect Love Decopage ADS004:0) Aren't they the cutest?!?

Here's a side view to show all the layers of the decoupage image

There are a total of four layers in the deco image that can be fussy-cut, or if you are like me....you can cut them with your Silhouette Cameo. The Stamping Dragon Designs Decoupage sheets make for a super-simple Print to Cut project!
Click the link below to go to the Stamping Dragon Store to check out the other great designs!

Don't forget to stop over at the store to see all the available Stampin' Dragon Designs images and digital papers, and be sure to check out the rest of the highlights on my fellow DT's blogs for more great inspiration! Another mat freebie SVG

Good morning fellow crafty folks! :0)
Was your Easter Weekend busy and full of family, fun and the spirit of the season? Mine was........sort of! I was traveling for a few, a last minute decision due to the need to visit with, and try to aid my son in some soul searching! He's having a rough last marking period at school. :0( Not a good thing.....it's senior year, and there's no bouncing back from a failure! So, off I went - to soothe, discuss, discipline, nurture.......it was a long weekend!
Needless to say, I came home exhausted, mentally, and did some working out to ease some stress. I ended up doing too much because my "bad" shoulder now hurts like mad!! Today I am planning on resting it, and maybe doing some light housework that doesn't require much shoulder action. In the meantime, I did put together an svg! :0)
I had made the heart circle a while back, but this morning I added the additional layers to it, so the folder contains three cuts" a solid base layer, the lacey heart layer and the circle layer for the top (the circle measures 3-1/4"). The file as sized will fit on a 5x5 card, but you can resize it to anything you need for your project. I hope you like it! :0)
All three layers, stacked
Heart Circle, Layered Mat

This file is no longer available as a freebie!
If you wish to purchase the file, cost is $1.50. I accept Paypal payments only for my files. Payment can be sent to my yahoo email address. Please make sure to include the email address you want me to send the file to in your payment, as well as a note indicating which of my files you are purchasing.
Thank you!
