The last school themed Wednesday Scrap Challenge

Today is the final Scrap Challenge for August. But no worries....there are more challenges planned on Melanie's Blog for September, so hop on over!

This card front is shaped around the apple, so the confetti cream card stock you see on the far right is actually the inside of the card. I used my SCAL to trace a Meljen's Digi-Stamp to create the card base, and then I also cut out the apple part of her image (so the red apple is actually a layer on top of the original printed, colored image).
I made the ruler with a scrap piece of yellow paper, some sponging, and a colored pencil for the lines and numbering. The scalloped shapes were cut with some hand-punches, and I added a couple of CTMH Chocolate brads to define the edge of the card front. The digi stamp is colored with my Prisma Pencils.

Back to School - Wednesday Scrap Challenge

Today is the day for another Scrappily Ever After Wednesday Scrap Challenge, and this month's theme is "Back to School"!
I recently discovered Create with TLC, and Paulette has a ton of fun on her blog! She is a creating force that is unmatched! I downloaded some of her freebie school images, combined them with my PSE, and made this card with them. I found the wonderful Aristotle quote, and I used the Monika font and the Old Script font to create the sentiment with it.
Some scrap papers I had are not really the traditional, fall "back to school" colors, but I like that it's different! What do you think?

Scrappy Sketch 34, Bugaboo Back to School Challenge Entry #2

Today I did another card for the Bugaboo Back to School Challenge, and again I used the Scrappy Sketch #34 (see yesterdays post, please).
Here is today's card. I added some freckles to the boys, and tried to color the skin tones different to match their hair colors. I think it turned out okay! :)

The inside is lined, and reads "You and Me".
For this challenge, I had to use primary colors, so I chose Stampin Up Cardstock colors Real Red, Brilliant Blue, Yoyo Yellow and Glorious Green, along with some Whisper White. I used my Label 3 Nesties, and some SU punches: Small Star. Corner, and an EK Success Border Punch.  The sentiment frame is made fromt he SU Scalloped Oval and Small Oval punches. Some glittered Stickles finished off the stars.

Scrappy Sketch 34, Bugaboo Back to School Challenge & Freebie SVG!

Today I worked on a sketch challenge that I found over at Bugaboo Stamps Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. This was submitted by Scrappy. It is Sketch #34

I used a Bugaboo digi-image, and some svg's that I made (you can download the crayon below, the apple had some issues, so I'm not going to post that one today). I had to turn the sketch to suit my image.
The scalloped oval is a Nestie, and so is the oval that my digi is printed on. I used my Prisma pencils to color her in, and some gel pens to color my apples. The crayon is inked with my sponge daubers.

This card also meets the requirements for me to enter it in the Bugaboo "Go Back To School" Challenge! The challenge was to use primary colors on the card.
This image reminds of a girl daydreaming of her summer days at her desk. I can remember doing just that for the first months of school starting! :)
Today is another down-and-out day, battling with this summer cold (or maybe it's an illness now?? Yikes! I hope not!), so I'm a little scattered, and not completely "on", so without further ado, here's your freebie Crayon SVG!

Back to School - Wednesday Scrap Challenge

Today is the day for another Scrap Challenge over at Scrappily Ever After, and the theme this month is "Back To School". I had this adorable Dustin Pike Image, from Season of Dragons, so I printed him up to color him in. I love Dustin's Dragons, and this one brings back memories of lugging around a heavy backpack every day! You see, all of us were "little" at one point, but I was always the "littlest"!
Anyhow, this was a simple card to make - some oval cuts, coloring and embossing with a CB folder. Hope you like!
