Don't worry......Bee Happy!

Hi, all!
A quick post from me today to show you what I did for the Bugaboo Wacky Wednesday Challenges over at PCP and CDAC. The challenge this week is Doodling and Dimensionals.
For this card, I combined two images from the Mini Set - Spring Stuff in the Bugaboo Stamps store. This set is so great....you can use the images alone, combined, as the focal point on your card, and accent......I have even made bg papers with them in the past! Love it! Anyhow, I did some doodling to write my sentiment, with a gel pen, and the bee "trail". Plus, I added some gel pen to the leaves of the Nestie die cut, and a little bit of doodling around the base layer of the image. My bg papers are by Echo Park, and I love that the green one had the doodly lines in it! Perfect for my image! Yay! My flower is added to the card with a dimensional, and the brad is holding five of the Prima's together.
Thanks for stopping by today! Now, go do some doodling of your own, and be sure to enter it into the challenges for your chance to win some FREE Bugaboo!
This card has also been entered into the following challenges:

Trying something new.....

Hi, everyone!
I have seen the circle easel cards around the blogs, and have always wanted to try one, but never took the time to do it. Today, I was feeling like doing something "different", so here's a card I made using the quick, and super easy, tutorial by Beate.

I used a Doodle Pantry image called Hang in There. I learned another new technique in PSE today, too, and that is to warp the text, so I did just that to my sentiment. :0) I created my Circle easel Card, then added some Prima Flowers, punched rock fern leaves that are inked, and some brads.
Easy-peasy, right?! It was, actually.....just follow the link to Beate's instructions so you can make one, too!
If you like what you see, please consider following me! :0) -------------- >>
Happy Crafting!

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

A big project.....and revisiting a freebie :0)

Hi, everyone!

It's October....Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Don't forget to have your mammy! To help bring awareness to this issue, Celeste, Yolie and Gaby are hosting a Link Up For Pink Party! While my project here is not "Breast Cancer Specific", I definitely think this is an important issue, and who better to be a reminder than old farts, Gus and Stella?! lol! We all want to be around "to annoy that one special person" for a loooong time, so "save the tatas!", ladies, and make your appointment!

I am working on a big project....well....big for me, anyhow! lol! I recently bought a Cinch machine, after holding off for what seems like forever! I wanted to be able to make calendars for Christmas presents, and now I can! Yay!!!
Well, here is a month that I have completed, and it is going to be entered into the Catch the Bug Challenge,  PCP and CDAC Wacky Wednesday Challenges, which is a sketch challenge this week. Okay.....I may be stretching my take on it a little - five hearts, instead of three "somethings", and my lines are a bit "wider" than there sketch shows. What do you think??
Here's the sketch that Bugaboo provided for the challenge

Here's the top page of my calendar to follow it

This calendar uses my Hugs & Kisses Mat svg.
These SVG files are no longer available for free.
Please visit my SVG's for Sale Page located at the top of this blog.

Stella and Gus....they crack me up! This calendar is for my mom and dad. I plan on making each month with a Stella image, and I thought this one was perfect for February! lol! They are so funny!

For the base layer of this page, I used a SVG that I made, called Hugs & Kisses Lace Mat, and it is being offered to you as a FREEBIE today, for a limited time only! The download file contains a 5" square svg file, and an A2 svg file, but you can certainly resize them to suit your project! :0)

Each calendar page measures 8" x 9", and I plan on cutting it down just a bit more before I bind them all together.....I'm thinking by half and inch on the long side. I'd like to be able to cut the image page off when the month is over, and possibly use it in an 8" square frame, or make it part of a scrapbook layout.

Jodie includes funny sentiments with many of the images she creates for Bugaboo Stamps, and the one here is the sentiment that came with this image. I colored the image in PSE (it's printed at approximately 5" tall). The photo didn't pick up on it, but the hearts papers are glossed. I made the February calendar page below, too, using a free heart font I found online, called "Heart Letters" (appropriate, huh?! lol!).

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy the free svg, and I hope you consider joining in on the fun challenges that Bugaboo Stamps has going on - it's a great way to win free images, like this one! :0)

Perfecto! Card and a Free SVG

Happy Tuesday!
I hope your Labor Day was a restful one....I know mine was! lol! It's been rain, rain, rain......and more rain here, so my family spent the weekend doing some much needed home organizing, and some catching up on some tv programs that we DVR! :0)
This morning was an early one for me, so I put together this challenge card. It is for the Bugaboo Stamps, Catch the Challenge Bug Blog "Anything Goes", and it also meets the criteria for the Stamping Dragon Designs Challenge Blog for "Occupations". I used a card sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, Sketch #110  for some inspiration.
This card uses my Utensils SVG
These SVG files are no longer available for free.
Please visit my SVG's for Sale Page located at the top of this blog.

My image is from the Chef collection over at Bugaboo Stamps. The blue background and red plaid papers are printed from AmberInk iPaper patterns. I used SU Real Red card stock for my bottom layer of the chef. Both layers for the image, and the scalloped oval, were cut from my Nesties. The Fork Knife Spoon embellishes are cut on mirrored card stock, but I could not capture light reflecting in them, no matter what angle I tried! :0( I made an svg to cut them on my Cricut with SCAL. You can pick up the file for your use, below). The sentiment was punched with an SU Tag punch.

Happy Crafting!  :)

Challenge Card

Hi, everyone!
I woke up early this am, so I thought I'd work on finishing up some cards with the images I had colored while on my trip! This is a Pollycraft Designs image. I love turtles (and frogs, bears, dogs......all things CUTE! hahaha!). I colored him in with my Prisma pencils. No water on this one, just the pencil work. I used some DCWV papers from the Citrus mat stack, a piece of sheer ribbon, and some glitter brads to finish it off. I can't believe I didn't emboss anything on this! Hmmm.....maybe some coffee will rev me up!
I followed the Critter Sketch Challenge #55 for my layout. Here's a copy of the sketch they provided this week......

Fresh Brewed Designs Color Challenge & Papertake Weekly Sketch

Here's another little something I did today, after my trek in the snow, shoveling the heavy, wet mush out of the way of the porch. Ugh-o! It was nasty out! I just wanted a path to the mailbox, and one in between the vehicles. Now I'm pooped! lol!

This card is for the Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge #32. Heather put up a photo for color inspiration.
I have trouble with those kinds of challenges, for some reason, but managed this from her posted photo. If you get a chance, hop on over to her challenge blog - she has a great announcement over there!
I used a sketch for the card. It came from Papertake Weekly Sketch #52.
The cupcake image I used is from Fresh Brewed Designs. It's a freebie in the store, so there is no reason you can't play along with Heather's challenge, AND use one of her images! :0)

Another Bugaboo Challenge Card....for me! :0)

I have decided that white-on-white is not my forte! lol! I had such a hard time figuring out what I was doing with this! I do like how it turned out, though. I think this little nurse angel is adorable.
She's for me - I've decided it's high time I feel better! I had a bit of a stomach bug this morning, in addition to still not having my voice back (week three now) and dealing with the second week of a sinus infection. I took my shower, am waiting for the hubby to come home, and am going out! LOL! I think we're going for Mexican food tonight, but that may change (stomach is okay now, so.........I think it will be good!)
Card Recipe
Paper - whisper White, Riding Hood Red - Stampin' Up
Nurse Angel Digi - Bugaboo Stamps
Stampin' Up Pinches - 1-3/8" Circle, Designer Label
Nesties - Large Scalloped Oval - Spellbinders

Bugaboo Winter Whites Challenge

Hi, everyone!
I was up before the sun today, so I came into my room to try to not make any noise that would wake up my hubby. I worked on this card for the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog weekly challenge. This week the theme is "Winter Whites". I had a tough time with this image. I just hit a wall when it came to knowing where I was going with it. It turned out okay, but I don't think it's "great". Just one of those things, I guess!
Card Recipe
Paper - Whisper White and Cool Caribbean (Stampin' Up)
Punches - Oval, Scalloped Oval (Stampin' Up)
Scalloped Nestabilities  (Spellbinders)
Scalloped Shapes (SVGCuts.com)
Love is in the Air Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
Pop-Dots

I won! I won!

I'm so excited! I had played along with the Bugaboo Birthday Bash Blog Hop, and I won one of the prizes-  The January Digi Kit! I've been really ill for over a week now, and having trouble sleeping, so last night, in the wee hours of darkness, I created this card using one of my new images from the kit for this weeks Winter Whites Challenge at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.
I used some new Cuttlebug embossing folders on this card (new to me, anyhow!). I just received the "Love is in the Air" bundle and these are both from that set. The challenge for this card was to use mostly white on your card, with just a pop of color.
Sorry, no svg today. My svg mojo seem so be hiding somewhere within the yucky sinus infection I have!
I'm hoping to be feeling more creative with my Cricut soon!
Thanks for stopping by, everyone! Happy Crafting!

Bugaboo Birthday Card

Hi, everyone!
I've decided to switch up my direction this week to do do some card creating for the Bugaboo Birthday Week! I know it means less svg freebies, but I promise at least one this week, and hope that you'll come back to check out the cards I make, too! :0)
Bugaboo Stamps is one of my favorite digistamp sites. I LOVE Jodie's images! Her images are often the starting point to svg's that I create: I try to create svg's that go along with the image I'm going to use on my card.
Bugaboo turned one this year, and to celebrate, Jodie and her great design team are having a blog hop over at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. It is stocked with great prizes for us hoppers, too! Today, they are hosting a challenge to use a birthday theme.
Here is my card
I used some Crushed Curry card stock, Dusty Durango and Melon Mambo, from Stampin Up. I just received a box of goodies that I had ordered (aka "splurged on"!). It included the Deckled Oval Nestabilities Dies that I used to cut the image and her layer. The image is from Jodie's Dottie collection of digis - isn't she neat-o?! She is colored in PSE.  I gave her some diamond Stickle earrings, and some shine on her lips using paper glaze. The Nested Flowers are my svg creation (sorry, not being offered as a freebie at this point).  I used my Swiss Dots embossing folder and ran them through my Cuttlebug.
Thanks for checking out my creation! Come back tomorrow for the last of the Bugaboo Birthday Bash Week Challenges!

Bugaboo Catch the Bug Birthday Challenge Continues

Today, they are hosting a challenge to use a new image that Jodie is giving away HERE. Adding BLING is also part of the challenge today.
Here's my card today.
I used some scrap yellow, blue and red pieces of paper for this one. I cut the image base layer and the image with my nesties. The blue us run through the Cuttlebug using the Distressed Stripes embossing folder. The spotted ribbon is something I've had for a really long time (I have a lot of it). I adhered it to my card using 1" dbl sided sticky tape. The buttons are from my button drawer stash. Again, something I've had for a long time. They are adhered with the sticky tape, as well. I find it gives a much stronger hold for the ribbons and plastic embellishes better than any of the glues I've used before.
The sentiment is hand punched with my Scalloped Oval and Large Oval punches. The inside of my card reads "I wish you the Happiest Birthday.....EVER!"
I had forgotten about the bling part of todays challenge, so I went back and added some Stickles to the flowers, spots on the ribbon, the sentiment and the clown. The clowns nose is paper glazed. It may be hard to see in the photo, but it's raised a bit, and shiny. :0)
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to join in the challenge!

Fresh Brewed Designs and The Latte Lounge-Post #3 today

So......this is my third post today - wow! I've had a few cups of coffee (and who couldn't use those?!), so I've been busy this morning! lol! My normal amount is one cup, and I'm working on number three right now!
I recently joined The Latte Lounge, where there's all kinds of cool stuff going on! A lot of challenges, chatting, some freebies......and fun, fun, FUN! So, if you haven't already, hop on over and join, too!
Heather, from Fresh Brewed Designs, has some freebie digi's in her shop. I used a couple of them to create this card for Challenge #7 that she's hosting over at The Lounge.  Plus, Rhonda Miller is having a birthday next week, so she's hosting a birthday card challenge over there, too! Happy Birthday, Rhonda! :0)
(Click the image to enlarge)
This card uses the bd cupcake 1, and Angel Food Cake with Balloons images. I used the cupcake image to create the paper I printed for the bg. I colored it in and then used it as a pattern in PSE. I then colored in the cutie-patootie girl using similar colors. I colored her hair with an SU marker, and added some Stickles to her wings.
Thanks for checking her out! If you'd like your own sweet FBD digis, don't forget to hit the shop at FBD! Heather has a lot of goodies in there! :0)

Bugaboo CHallenge Entry & Sketch Saturday -Post #2

Hi, everyone! Today I'm working on a couple of challenge cards, so this is my second post today. :0)
I made this card for the sketch challenge over at Sketch Saturday #137, and for the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. Their challenge this week is to show your embossing!
Sketch Saturday has a $25 gift certificate to Simon Stamps for their winner, and Catch the Bug Challenge Blog is giving away free digis to three lucky winners! So, head on over to each of their blogs to play along for your chance!
Here is this weeks sketch for the Sketch Saturday Challenge
And here is my card.

This image is colored in with PSE. I used my nesties for the image and it's shadow layer, which is embossed with my Swiss Dots folder. I also embossed the stars with the same folder. There is some light inking on the edges and dots to give each embossed paper more dimension. The papers are all from my stash. I'd like to tell you where they are from, but I've had these a loooong time, and have no idea from whence they came! Sorry. :(
Thanks for checking out my entry! I'll have another challenge card later today, so stop by again! :0)

Groovy Birthday

This is an image from  The Stamping Boutique. Tracey was super generous to send this to me for joining The Latte Lounge! Rhonda Miller is hosting a challenge for birthday cards, and I've entered this into her challenge, as well as Tracey's Monthly Challenge (to use TSB images).
I colored this gem in on PSE, and created the sentiment. I used some older DCWV mat stack papers that I had from the Citrus pack.
The flowers are Primas that I've had for...ohhh.......at least five years, or so! Sheesh - totally need to keeping using stuff up! The main image is on pop-dots, and the brads and solid card stock are by SU.
On the inside of the card I used my Cuttlebug Spots N Dots folder.
Thanks for stopping by!
Groove on over to The Stamping Boutiques Monthly Challenge to enter, and don't forget to visit all the hip happenings over at The Latte Lounge, as well!

You Make My Whiskers Wiggle!

Hi, everyone!
Working on a Thank You card, and I managed to find a list of challenges to enter it into! Yay!
This bunny is half of a digi form Meljen's Designs.
I colored it in with my PSE program, leaving the bunny white (intentionally for the color challenge I'm entering into with this).
The designer papers are all scrap pieces I had in my box from recent cards I made (to meet yet another challenge!), and the pink card stock is new (again....meeting another challenge requirement! hehehe!).
The ribbons (yep -for another challenge!) are attached using some dbl sided sticky tape (LOVE that stuff!).
I used the Cuttlebug Embossing folders, Spots N Dots, and Morroccan Screen on two of my layers.
Here is the Sketch Challenge I followed.
It is from C.R.A.F.T. Challenge. It is Sketch #84.
Here is the card I created. A list of all the challenges I'm entering is below.
Challenges Entered
Colour Create - Challenge 61

Fresh Brewed Designs Sketch Challenge

So, I am really, really hooked on challenges this week! :0) There is a sketch challenge going on over at Fresh Brewed Designs, Sketch Challenge #29. Here's the sketch:
I took some liberties with my card. First, I made it into a 5x5 card, and secondly, I added a sentiment. I know, I know....I hardly ever put a sentiment on the front of my card, even when the sketch asks for it, and this one doesn't, so what did I do?! I know..........what are you going to do with me?! lol!
Anyhow, this is a Bugaboo Digistamp from the Bugaboo Brats Angels collection. I colored her in PSE. I used some Stampin' Up DSP that I've had for a while. It is called Cottage Wall. I used Rich Razzleberry and Certainly Celery for my card stock (Stampin Up colors). I used an SU hand punch to punch put the sentiment. The sentiment is also from Bugaboo.

Thanks for checking it out!
Happy Crafting!

Color Challenge and Sketch Challenge Combo

I haven't been sleeping very well lately. I'm not sure exactly why. I was up late last night again, and I do know why I couldn't fall asleep then!  (My dogs woke me at 8:00 am because they were howling.....that's right, I said "howling"! I have no idea what they were howling at, but when they heard me put my feet on the floor upstairs, they stopped. Yeah......nice alarm clock pups! Sheesh!)
So, why didn't I sleep well last night?? Well, recently I received my new registration and tags for my vehicle. I had the paper that had the little tag sticker and perforated registration paperwork in my purse. Yesterday I had to run into town to the post office and bank. On my way out the door, I took the sticker tag off the registration paperwork and put it on my plate on my vehicle. Sounds good, so far, right? Well, at some point in my very short trip to the two stops I had, I LOST the paper registration!!! I could not believe it! I tore this place apart, and even dug through yesterdays garbage looking for it (EEEEEWWWW!). I used the bank drive thru window, so I know I didn't leave it there. I took a quick trip up and down the street this morning thinking I may have dropped it on the ground while getting out of the car. Let me tell you, that probably looked pretty funny.........me in my way-too-big Mickey Mouse thermal pj pants, a hoodie and a pair of shoes too big for my feet (my sons) tromping through the frosty grass, staring at the ground...... The neighbors probably thought I had lost my mind. Anyhow, that paper was not anywhere!
So, in the house I go, quickly tossing the hoodie and too-big shoes aside to run upstairs and put on some clothes....you know, the kind you can actually be seen in public in, i.e. blue jeans and a sweatshirt. hahahah!
Off to the post office I go, swearing at myself under my breath the entire way. I walk up to the counter, the lady looks at me and says, "Can I help you?", so I say, "I was in here yesterday afternoon and I think I left......" at which point she interrupts and say, "OH! Yeah! Your registration!!! Yes, yes.......the mailman has it and is going to leave it in your box today!".
PHEW!!!!!!
I guess I should try to get more sleep, huh??
Okay - enough story-time from me.......on to crafty stuff! Today I decided to try to get my fingers moving again (that cold weather this morning had them stiff as boards!). I found a Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge that I have combined on this card, plus you receive some free svg's today! :0)
Here is the color challenge photo that I picked up over at Play Date Cafe Challenge. This is Challenge #62. I missed the deadline to enter, but it was still a fun Valentine color scheme for me to play with!
For my papers, I used Stampin Up colors, Regal Rose, Kraft and Rose Red. The digi image is from Tiddly Inks. The swirly hearts svg is your freebie today! The file contains the element as shown on my card, a card front for a 5x5 card base, and a card front for an A2 card base.
I used my EK Success scalloped border punch, some hemp twine, and three Cuttlebug embossing folders on this: Swiss Dots, D'Vine Swirls and Bloom Dots. Some lighting inking on the edges helped give each layer definition.
For the sketch, I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #83.
I just found them this week, and I love their sketches, so far! They certainly have helped me keep motivating!

Okay, so now on to your SVG. :0) Again, this file contains three cut files. It also has a jpg file of the card I created with the element, above, and a Copy of my Terms of Use (also shown below).

Please leave some love if you enjoy my freebies! I love to hear from you! :) This is how I know you were here, like what you see, and would like to see more!

Critter Sketch Challenge #46

Hi, everyone! Here's another one from me today!
This uses an image from Fresh Brewed Designs. I colored it in PSE, printed it out, and then followed a sketch. Here's the sketch, from the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog. This is their Sketch Challenge #46.
I am also entering into the  Fresh Brewed Designs Celebrate Challenge (I'm celebrating Love!) :0) I know that's a stretch, but.....hehehe! And, since there are a few "Anything Goes" Challenges going on, I may have to throw it into the hat for those, as well! :0) Stacie was right! Challenges are super-addictive! Like coffee!!

Craft Your Passion Challenge #39

Happy Crafting, everyone!

Another Bugaboo for their Anything Goes Challenge & a Freebie!

Hi, everyone!
Today I worked on yet another Valentine Card.....hmmmm....or maybe this could be a smokin' hot, sexy Anniversay Card?! Wooooo! lol!
This is a Bugaboo Stamp from Jodies Sassy Gals collection. She's colored in PSE, and then I threw a new svg around her that I created - Fire! A touch of some black ribbon to "ground" it all, and voila! A smikon' hot sassy gal! :0)
I did some inking on my fire, and while it is a four layer svg file, I ended up cutting the larger piece in half, vertically, and the two yellow pieces I have cut down a bit to fit better around the digistamp.
I hope you like her! I'm entering her in this weeks Catch the Bug Blog Challenge, Anything Goes.
Today your free svg file download is the fire file. Enjoy!

Please leave some love if you enjoy my freebies! I love to hear from you! :) This is how I know you were here, like what you see, and would like to see more!
If you have any problems with this file, please let me know so I can fix it for you, and for others!

Celebrate the Good Stuff.....

Hi, everyone!
Today I purchased my first Fresh Brewed Designs Digistamp. I LOVE my coffee, and Heather just released several cute coffee-inspired images. Hop on over to her store and check them out for yourself, if you haven't already! :0)
The digi I purchased was colored in with PSE, as has become my "norm", lately. I used some scraps of paper I had in my stash for the rest of the card. Fresh Brewed Designs is also hosting a challenge this week.  It is sort of a double-theme: Celebrate, or New Year. You can go to the challenge page HERE. :0)
Thanks for peeking at my creation today! It's been a quiet day, so I think now I'll go find a good movie and curl up with some coffee!
Happy Crafting!
